I’m pretty obsessed with the white noise that fans & air conditioners make so I can actually really sympathize with the fan kid. PS old motel window units have the absolute best sound! I highly prefer 1 star roadside motels to 4 star chain hotels when I travel bc that sound is a much greater luxury to me than modern furnishings & amenities. It really sucks that they don’t allow window units in apartments whatsoever (because of leakage/mold concerns), so I have to settle for fans & laying next to the main central AC vent in the hallway. I can’t sleep or relax at all without some kind of white noise so I usually sleep in the hallway next the main vent at night.
