Fun fact about Bob's Rotten Head related to what you mentioned: even in Flash, it actually had some of the most synergies out of any item, it synergized with homing, piercing, polyphemus, chocolate milk, and some others. It was one of the first few items that felt like it had the concept which would be expanded upon on Rebirth. Additionally, The Pony was the first active item conceived for the game, even being a jokingly mentioned selling point on its Newgrounds page, though I'm unsure how you actually obtained it before Headless Horseman was added in the Halloween Update (which added stuff like Eve, Shoel, and Mom's Knife).

I believe there’s a mod called Forget Me in 3 Seconds which is semi-self explanatory. Whenever you use Forget Me Now, the screen will fade to white before restarting the floor, instead of doing it instantly. That gives you enough time to grab whatever items you wanted to keep before the floor resets, like actives.
