Should I hunt with a battery that dry or one that’s not dry does it make a difference?

This method 100% works! After spending about 17,930 Jirachis doing it the long way on-and-off since 2014 I gave this method a try and I finally got my shiny Jirachi last week at 21,015!

EDIT 1: Please use a GBA for this hunt. EDIT 2: Seems like you can transfer shiny Jirachi in next gens! EDIT 3: Does not work on fake cartridges. EDIT 4: Having a dead internal battery matters (less dice rolls)

Does your R/S having a dead internal battery matter for this method at all? I know hunting the other way it apparently hurts a lot.

It does not matter.

@@tenpersup1209 it does actually, every time you turn on the game shiny "frames" are predetermined and has way less dice rolls.

Is your save file corrupted after deleting? Just turn off the power after pressing YES, it should work.

@@tenpers you actually can! I had to do it acouple times, but it’s possible! Just a pain because the link cable isn’t exactly...stable most of the time, but it’s possible!
