A friend that runs the doors at the old piladium in Modesto California was going to introduce him to me that night. He was booked for a show there and the following weekend after he was killed he had a show in Portland. Had I got to meet him, nobody would have touched him. Not even his bay homies. Just because I heard he was gonna sign the big deal… that’s why I was going to offer protection. At that time I had cartel connect and Russian mob with me in my pocket. I was going to offer it to him based on what he has become and when signing on with Atlantic he was gonna have to cut off many of his hood homies because they would be a liability to Atlantic and they were only interested in Dre. So being that he was gonna have to distance himself from them…. Lots of animosity would come from his own people. And that’s not his fault. That’s how it works and when an artist is going to make that jump in to the big leagues that always goes down and that artist whoever he is better get a new team asap. Especially if he senses jealousy within his own people. Dre trusted to many people and didn’t move wisely. He should have left with keak and yuk. He never or anyone that’s a artist ever get involved with any people in the cities he performs at. You don’t chill with no one of that place while you are working. Not from the Bay but I would have to disagree because there are legendary rappers past and present that credit him as a major influence and inspiration, how ever I am also aware of the other legendary rappers of his time that feel he was an abomination to the music

You trippin he was a great MC from the 80s all the way until he died. He had different unique styles. He could rap about the struggle, political and conscious music, party music, that gangsta and pimp shit, and he was a great story teller. You probably didn't hear much of his catalogue
