Got a police abstract and alerted all the security checkpoints on the route back. She got back home and has been fixed, ready for the next adventure. We never leave a man behind! They are solid cars but if not taken care of, they will fail like any other car.

🤣🤣Snakes, no. Scorpions, yes. A dead one high up Nguruman Escarpment and live ones in Sibiloi. Big, black things. You don't walk barefoot there and at night, you must walk with a torch. And close your tent's zip, you will be fine.

They are tough like any other 4x4, and need to be maintained well by someone knowledgeable about them (as with any other 4x4). There were all 4 different Pajero generations in that trip, with petrol and diesel engines. We reckon we used about 180l of fuel and less for some of the more modern 4x4s. Ghost was quite something! We made sure she reached Marsabit. Ordered parts from Nairobi to be delivered to Marsabit, got a police abstract, and left her being repaired (mechanicals, the aesthetics were to be repaired at home) and alerted the many police roadblocks on the way and explained her situation so that the driver is not harassed. She got back home safely by herself and has been fixed, ready for the next Nomads' adventure.
