I made this video after having heart surgery and my wound (near my chest) hadn't fully healed yet, so I couldn't move my arms all the way down without being in excruciating pain LOL
This channel deserves way more views. Love it man plz keep uploading, we need more awesome niche content like this in the FGC instead of just "playing game" "watching game" and "talking about games meta" lol
In SF4 DP motions are actually reverse quarter circle iirc (632P), and there are even links in the game. It's very tight but in the corner, the shotos can link crouch punch into sweep. It also has some really wacky shit like infinite combos, cancelling fireballs into DP, OTG fireballs, combos into tatsus can either be minus on hit or do like half health and stalong's back kick which is absurdly strong.
I knew a guy who was a prolific bullshit merchant, regularly interrupting your conversation and making up all sorts of lies. I remember once my friend and I were querying the long delay between dynasty warriors games and he tried to say he was the lead play tester for koei and after the sent him a promo of the latest game he sent it back and “it’s shit mate” so they had to start again from scratch…. Anyways, one day we were talking about bootleg versions of sf2 and he again interrupted and told us he used to play street fighter 2 crazy clam edition. Apparently it was exactly the same as champion edition except the last boss was a king prawn
Orochi Iori in Queen Fighter 2000 is actually a leftover from the original game that Queen Fighter 2000 is built off from: The King of Fighters Heat of Battle or Nettou The King of Fighters 96. He and Mr. Karate are hidden characters that are unlocked via individual cheat codes, but it seems Vast Fame just left them untouched because they figured no one, not even them, would know about those cheats. Later revisions of Queen Fighter 2000 would remove the Vast Fame logo screen so those cheats cannot be entered. Plus, it's not input delay; the characters have terrible frame data that makes attacking slow and unresponsive, given how Orochi Iori fights fine. If you are looking for another Vast Fame fighting game, I suggest Soul Falchion, which is essentially Samurai Shodown vs. The Last Blade, and Super Fighter S, which is Vast Fame's attempt at remaking The King of Fighters '98 on Game Boy Color. Both games use much smaller sprites with faster animations.
Since you specifically said "fighting games", I'll forgive you for leaving the greatest bootleg game of all time off your list, Barkley: Shut Up And Jam Gaiden. It's technically a turn based RPG, just as the title would lead you to believe. Great video. I live for bootleg trash like this. The Sega Master System was the king of this kind of stuff. Brazil was able to produce the consoles in their own country to bypass import taxes, so it stayed relevant for decades after it was obsolete everywhere else. You haven't lived life until you've played Mortal Kombat 3 on a Sega Master System. One little favor I would ask: next time, put chapter markers in your video. You can just type them in the description and RU-vid will add them automatically. I didn't catch the name of some of the games the first time I watched this, and tapping the screen would have showed me if it had chapter markers. Otherwise, incredible editing and scripting. This is really impressive work.
Thanks very much for watching and for leaving such a detailed comment! I'll do the chapter thing ASAP and I'm saving some more bootleg games for a follow-up video in future
2:32. The games DP inputs are different from the actual Shoryuken input. Original DP: F, D, DF + P Bootleg DP: F, DF, D + P (Quarter circle down input).
Surprisingly there are more Strip Fighter games. Not by the same team obviously, but a doujin group has made strip fighter 4, V, Zero, and 6, with a few even being on steam. Tho not completely unrelated as they have a couple characters from strip fighter 2, tho the bird girl was made into a loli. I've only tried them in passing, not amazing, but they definitely play a lot better than the original, though there isn't an option to turn off the nsfw parts. There's a couple neat characters, like Tina based off Tia from breakers revenge and Al is based on the concept art of Abel from SF4 when he was a femboy.
Some of these I wouldn't call "bootleg" because that implies stolen assets. Michael Jordan being a slight modification of Lucky Glauber form KoF is a bootleg, along with the other obvious sprite rips. But when they actually draw whole new characters, it's now a doujin fighter.
As a kid from the heyday of SFII (the first one lol) I was amazed and astounded to find that Strip Fighter was a real thing, but where the hell were these seedy-ass arcades that my buddies' uncles were taking them?!? 😅
strangely we had other strip fighters, very well done by the way, they are Strip Fighter V and Strip Fighter Zero, one released in 2023! edit : in Strip Fighter V we can play as Tina from Breakers Revenge, how she was in game? idk.
So Strip Fighter II is a 6 button game but the fightcade settings assume your using a 2 button controller for the type of pc being emulated. In order to play with the 6 button theres a setting in the emulator youll have to check off.

Why do Australians try to be overcritical of bootleg things? They’re not trying to make it for quality or to be original. It’s a bootleg. Stop taking things so literally man.
