I Travelled to Scunthorpe United as they face Chester FC in the National League North (6th Tier of English Football) Follow My Socials 👇 Instagram - / fusion_josh Twitter - / fusionjosh_ TikTok - / fusionjosh
It is to mention too that Chester went bust and had to restart, still being fan owned today, bringing 1100+ is INSANE after the trials and tribulations we have faced
Scunthorpe fan here and that was a great video. Not because of what we achieved on the day, or what we have achieved over the course of this season but because it highlights that even in the 6th tier of English football there are some good teams with good followings that play good football There are also some part time teams that are doing their best to move up these leagues that also deserve recognition for the way they are run and for their fans. Videos like this are needed to highlight the fact the more investment is needed from the FA further down the pyramid to help, nurture and grow these teams, from grass roots to Prem. Glad you enjoyed the day! And kudos to the 1100 Chester fans.
Chester here! Great video pal- great advert for 6th tier- as desperate as we both are to get out of it!! Come to Chester- shit ground- great city- we’ll show you a boss day!
Ok......we may take you up on that offer 😅......I am a relatively simple 'Scunny fan'......i only require 4 Pints in a reasonably friendly pub. one cigaratte and a meat pie before kick..... all the best to Chester.....but you must not beat us in the play offs 😁
Unbelievable support from both 👏 Forget ex league clubs this and that, you’ve got to respect the following for where a club currently are. Scunthorpe well followed. Chester some of the best fans we’ve had visit Scarborough. Would be a shame for them to go up! (For us) 😅
I’ve been a Kings Lynn town supporter for over 50 years. Absolutely love it through the ups and downs of non-league Promotion, relegation bankruptcy reforming proper football. No flash cars no VAR No footballers with stupid haircuts Love nonleague football Premier League is boring
Scunthorpe didnt just beat the 6,000 crowd in the normal season, they beat the play off record crowd of 7,448 (York v Boston - Play Off Final 21/22 Season)
That is an incredible attendance record. Respect to Scunny. I went there many years ago when the Iron was a Div 2/2nd tier side. Times have changed since then and i hope they get back into The League some day.
Scunny fan here, followed you and thodgen for a long time now and great to see you showing the football world what our clubs about, not many people would make the journey to our club so appreciate it! Shame I didn’t see you there!
been here with the mighty Cambridge United in League 2 , back in the day. Sorry to these guys in tier 6. My brother in law is a Scunny fan. Good luck for the rest of the season..
Before watching the video, just wanna say that i admire your work and i can see that you put a lot of effort to have the best quality. Keep up the good work!
Great video, Josh, and credit for covering the exciting and competitive National League North! Yesterday was a record for a regular league fixture in the sixth-tier, but the 2017 playoff final between FC Halifax Town and Chorley FC still holds the record crowd of 7,920 for the National League North. I should know, I was there myself. Incredible attendances at that level. 👍
As a Stockport fan, ive been down in the 6th tier. Its tough. Very tough.. Be good to see both these teams back in the league... Good vid as always Josh.
I know Brazilians are generally credited as being the most football crazy but the way football clubs are embedded into their local communities in Britain is something else. And it shows no sign of going away. At a time when when people are increasingly media addicted and everything else is just a consumer choice football clubs are great big glue pots that bind people together. Although we laud the fans we should also thank the people in the clubs themselves and the owners, who willingly engage in something they know us going to cost them a lot of money
Great video, hopefully promoted see can play pools next season, last time we went to scunthorpe we were all dressed as doctors and nurses in our fancy dress last day of the season game
You should go to the Belgian cup final between Union and ANtwerp to old belgian temas batling it out for the cup it will be amazing atmosphere and it will put the Belgian football atmosphere more on the map since I think its underrated
great video mate, me n me mate were gonna come find you since we saw you but it was that full we couldnt, you should come again but next time at the top of the stand in the middle were all the limbs are its craziness up there, thanks for coming
ok it was boxing day when i went to tonbridge vs maidstone in the national leauge south the attendance was 2,806 which is alot see as tonbridge's home attendance requarly is only 900
Out of context but not going to lie we should give so much credit to josh. I have never seen anyone like him go to different games thats not his teamand support them. Big up the josh.
As a fan from Germany I am happy to watch those kind of videos. It shows me that there is still life in the stadium culture of England. The most matches I attented to in the UK were really sad because of a lack of good atmosphere but this is a pretty decent support from both sides.
1996-97 Isthmian League Yeovil packed 8k inside Huish park against Enfield with estimated 2k people queuing around the stadium 20 mins after kick off 😎
Nobody is talking about Taunton Town 2024... They've been in a massive financial crisis and have 16 games to play from now (March 12) to May 1 because every single game i kid you not has been postponed and one of their last games had to be played in Plymouth except for Truro and they're like 21st in the National League South. I wish them the best for the peacocks this season.
