The aquarium featured here is called "La Création D’Adam". It has a capacity of 350 liters and was filled with water in October 2020. The photographic shot was taken in May 2021.
The title is a reference to the painting by Michelangelo that can be found on the central part of the ceiling vault of the Sistine Chapel, in the Vatican Museums in Rome. The shape of the roots suggests a central symmetry where the first of them dominates the second. This is reminiscent of the position of the hands of Adam and God on the fresco of the referent artist.
The intention to put into perspective a 3-dimensional space in an aquatic environment is always what motivates the implementation of my work. Improvisation played an important part in the development of this aquarium. Because it is by combining, by manipulating elements at my disposal that the final composition arose.
