WDW News. Well, The first thought would be to build the park in a warmer winter temp. But when you think about it more, Paris is the best place for the park. You look at all the different sport that happens through the year, I.E. Tennis Open is just one. One of the biggest tourist attractions is the Louve, every year.People already come to Paris so a lot of work is done for you. But anywhere else you've got to do a lot of work to bring the tourist's to your door. After all this time even if you never went to the park during the year everyone visits at Christmas. It's starting to become something that has to be done. To be there for the lighting of the Christmas Tree is just so important. Like our Candlelight Procession. In 2 years time the Olympic's are in Paris. Attendance will be off the charts. Cheers, Chris Perry.

The park would have been MUCH more successful if built in Italy. Spain would have worked as well. The problem with Paris is not only the poor weather, but also the French people's distate for American culture. Obviously the French looked down upon the park as cultural expansionism before even setting foot in it, and there wasn't even a large theme park market to begin with. Italians in general are big fans of American pop culture, Disney, and theme parks...this is why Gardaland is one of the most popular parks in Europe. To top this off, Italy (and the broader mediterranian) is a huge vacation destination for Europeans (espeically germans, austrians and british), whereas Parisians LEAVE Paris en mass to go south during the summer months. All Europeans have gone to Paris and go there as a business hub of Europe, but it isn't a big draw for leisure vacationers from Europe. Infact Paris is more popular in the summer with Americans and Asians, but they often overlook the park becuase there's so much they'd prioritize doing in Paris. A Disney park in Italy would have been a perfect compliment to a relaxing tour of the mediterrainian, with nicer weather (=lower upkeep costs), food and people. And even more importantly it would have had a larger supporting base of local fans off the bat.

@@ainsleyperry5192 Short of Scandinavia, Paris was literally the worst place they could've chosen in Europe. The weather is poor there. This drives up maintenance costs and drives down visiters in winter. Parisians also LEAVE Paris en masse during the summer months to go south to the Mediterranian. Germans, Austrians, and British flock to Italy in the summer...Hardly anyone in Europe takes a "leisure vacation" to Paris. Paris is a business hub for Europeans. Americans and Asians go to Paris in the summer for the romanticized culture and history, but they end up prioritize many other things on their trip. Even worse, the French people look down upon American culture and despised our cultural expansionism....this was extremely predictable. The French publicly slammed the park without even visiting and it failed off the bat. The reaction would have been the opposite in a country like Italy where the population loves American pop culture. Not to mention Italy has a much larger theme park fanbase, as proven by its extremey successful local parks like Gardaland. Italy has nicer weather, food and people; A disney Park there would have been a perfect compliment to a relaxing tour of the mediterranian.

I should definitely expect a chain of multiple EuroDisney Resorts across Europe including a EuroDisneyland Paris for France along with some for Italy, Spain, and other European countries!

I'm excited for a new Timekeeper series about Disneyland Paris. I feel like this is the one Disney park that I know the less about so I'm looking forward to learning more about it and I like the chronological format.

Amazing and incredible job you have done to represent a new Timkeeping of my Beloved Parks that i am working for now almost 21 years !!! Time flyes... can't wait to see you next episode. By the way a friend of mine saw you in the park during the 30th celebration, but didnt want to disturb you... he is a well known Guest Host at the Tower of Terror here in paris, you may have seen him on the Disney+ attraction series ;-)

WDW News, Tom. In 1989 " Time " magazine did a series on the different countries of Europe. They found the top 2 were Germany and France. Time went on to say that with all the new highway's and high speed "Bullet" trains, Paris was at the centre of all this tourist activity. And gave Disney's new theme park a very strong recomendation for being at the heart of all this revitalised Europe. The park still needs more attraction's but it also needs another Hotel maybe two. As after all these years Euro Disney is finally starting to show it's full potential. Cheer's Chris Perry.

When your fav RU-vid channel and team now covers your homepark when you were a kid and grew up with Disney 🥹🥹🥹 (WDW is now closer but I still personally love Disneyland park at DLP). Yes the resort had some shaky debuts but everyone now loves it (as long as they keep selling wine and champagne lol)

I went on a school trip to London and Paris in 2000, just after I'd graduated, but they let me go anyway lol. My family all came along too, parents acting as assistants to the teacher with us. On our "free day" in Paris, most of the students went to Disneyland Paris, but my sister and I were like, "why would we go to Disneyland? We've been to Disney World a bunch of times back home!" And went to things like Napoleon's Tomb, Arch du Triomph, etc instead. LOL Had I realized this park was so different from our own two castle parks, I probably would've have gone... and now I don't know if I'll ever be able to go back LOL

What a genius idea to build an US themed resort complex in FRANCE. How could that go wrong, right? As a brazilian I know I wouldn't like that even a bit. Main Street would be enough US to our taste, no offense to you guys. It's just that it's an already american company, with heavy american theming within its main lands, so theming even more stuff to the US would be really disrespectful in a way, at least for us. Knowing France, I think they disliked that even more than we down here would

I still would have selected the locations in Spain. Just outside Barcelona I think was a option, which would have worked out great since the park opened in April of '92 and the Barcelona Olympics was that summer. The British love going to the beaches of Spain as well so it just seems like a win win situation. Ive been to DL Paris in the winter, and its just miserable to be at. Way too cold, half the attractions dont run when its raining/snowing due to the freezing temps. As someone who visits Spain all the time, the Spanish are more warm and welcoming as well, love American products more so than the French. Oh well, cant change the past. Happy the resort is finally getting the love and attention it deserves.

9:16 As an Anaheim resident and OC native learning French, I would never force my US culture onto the individualistic and protest-loving French culture. Besides, here in CA we’re always eccentric dressers like French people.
