Lovely episode - loved the comment "even when I was younger they were never up there" - made me laugh out loud. I love watching you and Aaron as you always knit such great shawls and scarfs. Inspired by the quilt as well Carrie, I have their ruler and haven't used it in ages so might dig that out. Hope the camping goes well xx
Lovely, you are certain multi-talented. The shawl and the smaller that you were wearing are beautiful. I find sashimi were peaceful, the small rice sized stitches are meditative. Have only worked in one colour thread on a project. Hope the camping goes well. 🇬🇧
great episode, carie! i made the "be simple variations" after watching your last episode; using up stash, i knit it with mohair held with fingerling-- my granddaughter snatched it right up. that made it all worth knitting 😊. and... carie + fiber hustle yarn = perfection! aaron's yarn is one of the few i'll actually consider buying while being on a yarn diet. i just finished a sweater with his yarn. i also dragged my sewing machine out after listening to chip. okay, have fun camping-- nothing like being outside to make life better!
Obviously I'm a huge fan of Aaron's dyeing. What a sweet thing that your granddaughter loved that shawl! I need to make another one. It's on the list 😅
I always find myself chuckling with you when you talk about your process of creating as you did on this episode about shirt making and darts 😂 then I did a double take at the word basket! Thank you Carrie for the mention of my podcast which is my latest crafting rabbit hole. Rhinebeck 2022 was an unforgettable experience 🫶🫶🫶
