Ideas only seem magical and the product of genius because we refuse to see all the work, knowledge and remix that’s behind that complete and polished product. In this second part of our mini-series, we'll find out that minds do not operate differently to different people.

Some are born with natural proclivities and advantages, i don't know the limits of the human mind , but clearly we are not gifted with the same intellect.

Haha. Practice makes perfect. This is oddly in line with "things" I've been doing lately. Like playing a game called Rocket League. It's combined two concepts from genres I hate and made something I oddly enjoyed. I don't even like online multiplayer most of the time. I went from having other players tell me not to play competitive to being accused of using hacks to play how I do. And I'm nowhere close to the upper players are. But I am well beyond how I ever thought I could play the game. And basically it took hours of practice, but also constantly reshaping and looking and little parts of the game. Stuff I would think "No way in hell I can do that" and next thing I know it's just muscle memory and I can think about other things, like the physics of all the moving things. I like to play like water, I use whatever hits me for my momentum and it pisses others off. Then I'll move quickly until everyone else is moving like chaos and I slow down and tap it in. But to turn the game into that took hours and hours of small little things, not to mention the years of adapting to various control methods through my life in gaming. All little things I could use to climb up a little in a competitive game and it seems so long as I keep playing it as a game for fun instead of to win I keep making those things I notice in others my own. Lately I discovered I can make other players jump by jumping myself. I can't express how funny it seemed to think "When I jump you jump" and cause the whole field to hop at once when I just did a tiny hop. Competitively I'm just around the silver level. Which means there's players well beyond what I've figured out, but instead of daunting that idea has been more inspiring of late. Especially since I'm 36 and can woop ass on younger people who've spent more time in the game than myself. (Brain plasticity still seems to be working, better than I expected). I'm just going to leave "Grammerly" to underlining stuff on this one. I made errors, woops.

It's a song from an artist called Broke for Free. You should go check him out. freemusicarchive.org/music/Broke_For_Free He freely licenses his music just like millions of other artists.

Yeah, yeah and everyone gets a participation trophy. Tell me again how Mozart, Einstein and Hawkings aren't geniuses. This is crap. Clearly there are people who work harder and still aren't as good as those who are naturally talented in that area. Mozart wrote his first symphony at 5 years of age.

His first symphony was a remix of other famous symphonies at the time. And his dad made him study and practice music from a very young age. Just saying :)

@@Copy-meOrg exactly, and by age 21 his fingers were deformed due to too much playing, he actually detested the term "genius".

The debunking of the "Originalgenie" (Original Genius, in german) does not mean that everyone is equal. This just shows that the mind of ordinary people and of genius people work with the same underlying principles. Every PC works according to the same principles but there are tons of better or worse working pcs.

@@Copy-meOrg Ask thousand of other children to do the same and they would not become Mozart. There is something like inherent talent that you cannot take out of the equation. Everyone can study and train to become good, very good, and maybe even extremely good, but almost all people hit a certain plateau. Only people with exceptional talent in the same spot as all the training, can go beyond.
