Although I’m a “city “ girl I love the natural materials . The kitchen reminds me of a high bakery café bar type eatery ! I’m so glad that the sidewalls were not put up on either side of the cooking area because grease and dirt would accumulate and it would definitely close that area in. I also appreciate there’s nothing above the beautiful fireplace. I find many times art or these huge televisions take away from the beauty of the fireplace and that is indeed the major focal point ! Stunning !
No artwork over the fireplace was inspired. I agree, it looks great without it. The proportions and the balance of the lower half allows it. The light yellow large herringbone pattern gives it visual interest without stealing from the calm or "rest" that your eyes are allowed on the top. It took discerning eyes and a little guts to go against convention here and it paid off.
The dark details in the kitchen make it so luxurious but everything is so natural at the same time! I love all your design projects and use your tips to improve my living space 😊

I love that fireplace, and can just imagine how nice it would be to sit in that blue leather chair with a fire going and look out that wonderful window! This house is gorgeous!

This house is my dream come true, I would just have to culturally adapt it to my lifestyle, as I am not American and do not really understand why so many American homes have a living area next to the kitchen while the dinning area is so far away! So the only adaptation I would do is having both living areas together and the dinning room next to the kitchen. Still, I ADORE this house!

This has to be my favorite kitchen you’ve ever done! I love everything about it. I guess it’s because I’m not fond of white kitchens and find them really boring. This kitchen is anything but boring!
