Aniek Wichers in an interview with Eddie Redmayne, he said he chose that particular wand with the groves and chips in it to represent Newt being a magizooologist (however it’s spelt) it just shows how he’s been through it all with dangerous creatures etc etc

I have the wand and looked up close at the marks. They're not from human teeth, they're clearly scratches made from claws or maybe one spot that looks like a bite from a fanged beast. The dents are deep and pointy.

1. Leta's is my favourite wand because it reminds me of Narcissa Malfoy's 2. The rune on the top of Dumbledores wand is a D. Im assuming for Dumbledore.

sry its not a D, iam assuming it is old runes(or futhark) and it says the first symbols is F,F, the D lookalike can be 3 different letters U,V, and the last letter is a J. if you would pronounce the word I think it is: fehu fehu urus jera. and these words tranlate into: wealth, wealth, strength, reward. the symbol on the end of the wand means destruction.

Mason Finley same here cherry explains in great detail unlike other channels which is maybe how she has nearly half a million viewers , I only recently saw the second film it's a lot better than reviews said as fans from the first potter franchise and books understand how things work , but show someone who hasn't a clue what goes on then , there like woah or that's cool or I don't get it , I think if you haven't invested a lot of time and energy into both films and newts book then it's hard to explain to reviewer certain aspects , but this channel does really impressed , 🙏🇬🇧

Yeah, the albus wand is definitely the most beautiful. However, my favourite wand will always be Hermione Granger’s wand, it’s foresty and elf like, I really like the wooden aesthetics.

For anyone interested in the runes on Dumbledore's wand (based on my very limited foray into Elder Futhark). Dagaz (large one on the handle base) - refers to time and is the counterpart of Jera (Jera is annual, Degaz is daily); Dagaz is a rune of bold change Band around handle (they are meant to be read with the wand held vertically, handle at the top and the tip pointing down): Jera (looks like two opposing arrows) - refers to time and is the counterpart of Dagaz above; Jera is the rune of gentle change Ansuz (looks like a slanted F, and from the video it actually looks like there are 2 right next to each other) - common interpretation is that it signifies a god, particularly Odin, and can refer to an ancestry tracing back to old gods; can be used to denote to mental stability, inspiration, persuasion, transmission of intelligence [if it's not two of these then I can't tell what the other one is - closest in shape is Laguz, which means water] Uruz (looks like an upside down U or V) - relates to a variety of things like endurance, physical health, strength, constancy, etc.

to me the wizarding world is a place where i can escape. i've been read harry potter since i was a baby and grew up with a sister just as obsessed as i am. throughout my struggles with multiple medical conditions the past 6 years harry potter has always helped me. it's somewhere to go to that isn't a hospital room or clinic or rehab center. it's a place where i can be myself and not worry about being judged. throughout the hardest days of my life, harry has always been there. from my parents reading it to me after surgeries to having movie marathons with my friends the one day a month i could see them. it's helped me in ways i can't describe, it just means so much to me. thank you for this video cherry and for your channel in general, you inspire me to create and by my nerdy self! my twitter is @lokislumos

Leta Lestrange's wand kind of reminds me of Narcissa Malfoy's! Narcissa is actually the only wand I own and I love it. Surprising that a Hufflepuff owns a Slytherin wand though. Haha! Love you!

I'm also a Hufflepuff and I own Narcissa's wand too. I went to Universal a few weeks ago and everyone I met asked if I was in Slytherin because I was holding her wand. I said "No, I just love her wand design". Probably didn't help that I was also wearing a House Black scarf (I just love their aesthetic)

So I'm wondering, some wands have paint on them right? Like the circus dudes wand. Did he get it like that when he was younger? Did he get a new wand when he joined the circus? Did he paint it himself? Can you paint your wand or does this effect the performance of the wand? I have questions.

Exactly, me too. I think that a lot of the more unique, intrivate wands can’t be the characters’ first wands they got when they were kids because you don’t want a kid to be poking his eye out with a horn handle on his wand haha. I think that they either had their previous wands customised or they got new wands when they got older to match their taste/lifestyle.

Theseus ❤️❤️ I’m so happy they made his wand. The Scamander men ruin me. 😂❤️ Leta’s is definitely a favorite for me simply because of the style, and other than Newt’s, would be the one I’d use. Spielman’s reminds me of Greek architecture. Albus’s wand is so pretty!

I wouldn't be surprised if your fave is Dumbledore's wand. It's love at first sight for me when I saw it on the trailers. Now that I've seen that there are runes on the neck and a bindrune at the bottom of the handle, I'm more in love with it.

To me, the wizarding world means, family. My mom first introducted me to Harry Potter when i was young and i fell in love, I was still too young to see the movies in the cinema so only my brother could go with her, but as soon as they were out on dvd we always had movie nights with my whole family to watch the new movie and i would kind of claim the dvd after and keep watching it again and again. Now i'm older, have read all the books and am still very much in love with the wizarding world, i have found more family online who share this love, like our magical family on this channel which i am very thankfull for :3 To me it also means accepting who i am, i never thought i fitted the Gryffindor reputation i guess, but now i do feel like a Neville, brave in my own way. Hi! I don’t have twitter so my mom let me use her account. I’ve always had anxiety, so my therapists would try to find escapes for me. When I was 8, my mom started reading Harry Potter to me and I started to become myself again. Before I started reading Harry Potter, I was always moody and argumentative. As soon as I started the books, my parents saw me starting to become positive again. When I’m having a bad day, I watch the movies on repeat and read my favorite books over and over. I love the series and I love the people involved in it! I am living with an illness called Amplified Musculoskeletal Pain Syndrome. It causes me to feel extreme amounts of pain when I get stressed. I have been battling with it for three years now. When I feel the pain coming, I take out Harry Potter and start reading until the pain goes away. Runes translate to untamed potential, insight, true vision and prosperity ( sides of wand). Bottom of wand translates to wrath of nature or uncontrolled forces. Runes have multiple different meanings meanings. Each rune corresponds to different types of wood and the wood corresponds to times of year(zodiac signs). The fantastic beast and harry potter movies go further into detail than most people are aware of. J.K. Rowling Definately did her homework.

Ok, so by some magical coincidence I have a rune tattoo that i got 4 years ago that just so happens to be personal to me.... and now it is one of the runes on Dumbledore`s wand... how crazy is that! I`m so baffled!! As a massive potterhead this is like the craziest things ever... I`m shook!!!

My favorite wand is definitely Albus’s wand, it’s just so gorgeous with the twist. And my second favorite one is Flamel’s wand, it’s so unique! I love the wands that have something unique in their design, especially if they have something on the end. Like Voldemort’s wand, cuz of the gorgeous bird on the end.

Awww love these!! I need to get my wand collection back. I feel like I'm always complaining about this but I had a bunch of books stolen in boxes by our uhaul and the boxes also included our wand/candle/random harry potter items I had on my shelf with my collection of potter books. I think these will be on display as soon as I can save for them ♥

Nothing I could ever say will fully describe what the Wizarding World means to me, although I'll do my best to try. The Wizarding World means everything to me. It provides an escape from our muggle world which isn't always perfect, and it has provided this wonderful Wizarding World community which I am so glad to be a part of! Skender's wand is fascinating but he is actually an asshole because he has a circus where he forces Credens to care his creatures and shows the Maledictus Nagini as a creature....

Nicholas wand is probably shaped like that because of how old he is, over time the handle would have chipped away to form the shape of which he holds it (the curve around his hand and the dip where his thumb lay)
