@@lbrlrsfdj8895 exactly moral of the story raise your kids and take accountability for their behavior dont blame others cause your the one raising them
As a Denver native I’m thoroughly impressed by your well versed journalism keep it up man , but needless to say this only barely scratches the surface of our underworld.
I'm from long beach ca but I've lived in the exact neighborhood this guys talking about between mlk and Bruce Randolph Ave while I was attending spartan in broomfield. Denver is by far the softest city I've been to. Been to 3 nightclubs, a couple bars/house parties and met plenty of ppl. Denver is basically a city full of people who are from somewhere else. No one's a real local. Every person I've met there who was slightly hard just seemed like a total wanna be to me. A high crime rate does not equate to a high level of organized crime.
I think you got East Side 13 confused with the East Side Oldies 13. ES 13 are a Sureno gang from LA and ES Oldies 13 is a Denver based gang who are not Surenos but use the 13 and is rivals with the Crips and resides in the same neighborhood as the 37 Crips. They’re not in Park Hill.
Yall not outside at all. Drinking tea and shiii in your nice little cozy home. There's mfs getting stabbed and shot on a daily. Yall living in the areas where the housewives jogging thru the day pushing strollers. Talkenbout it ain't violent.. of course it ain't outside yall window lmao
Good work man, love the journalism. It's crazy you mentioned Willie Clark. I'm from Montbello and back in the days Willie Clark was mine and my brother's Homie. We used to call him Big Nose Willie. It's crazy how people can go different routes growing up.
Hey bro super late but props on all the work you have been doing. The quality of the videos really shows how passionate you are about your craft. Much love and keep grinding bro ❤️
Denver's been pretty gentrified since '08 northeast/Eastside always been predominantly African American and does resemble south central in some parts. I'm from the South/West side which is predominantly Hispanic/Chicano and is more like east la. 90s were the peak of gangs I'd say. It's getting interesting with the housing situation. Lots of natives getting priced out, massive increase in homeless 😥
Michael Asbury moved in my neighborhood (Aurora)back in the early 90s when I was 14 . My sister would hang out at his crib, and my father wasn't having it when he found out Michael Asbury was a Crip from Cali. I remember Michael had this fine ass Latina with dark long hair and he drove a Cadillac Eldorado . I'm glad my father handled the problem the correct way and not treated Michael like some ordinary person living in the neighborhood . That could have been a deadly outcome for him and the family.
@@BMTDreMoney8 I’m 50 and lived here my entire life. Denver is no Joke and Dangerous AF! Grew up in west wood the west side and capital hill. LA is huge and yes we have a higher crime rate but I would walk anywhere/ and have in Denver before LA
He a white dude so it's all good. We know they'll never fully understand us no matter how much they study us but I think he did a good job wit the video overall.
@@tyronesimon3742 bruh wtf how u gonna bring race into bro pronouncing psycho wrong tf? bros just dumb pretty sure everyone should no how to read that no matter the color lmao
@@treygotbandz38 white people are known for pronouncing black people's names wrong, especially when it has a unique spelling. We seen it happen all throughout school for years. If you was black you'd know what I'm saying.
At the 2 minute mark the video highlights 33 and Fillmore but it shows clips of the rival hood in Park Hill. I grew up on 35th and Fillmore and it was live in the 80's and 90's. It's now becoming another gentrification story...
As a Denver native I'm very impressed with how they put this together it's very accurate but at the same time it should have been more people mentioned but I'm overall impressed thank you for doing Denver#my hoodie says Park Hill VS everybody 😎
It’s a few of them on you tube now. They even got a goofy from the UK doing these kinds of vids. He even dresses in gang attire to do his sponser spill. Crazy.
It's painfully ironic how many of these stories start with, "the families left to escape the violence of gang territory, and they brought the violence with them. "
Too bad you didn’t add Dj Quiks beef with denver on this. He got into a fight with Denver gangs at a skating rink. He talks about it in his song “jus lyke Compton” True story too
@@Pitbull_expert DJ Quik is fabricated that song just like his whole lifestyle. Denver Crips beat the breaks off of him why do you think the vato don’t come around?
The medium fish got into a small fish pond and immediately began flexing. Then when it was time for the medium fish to go back to the LA pond his defense was," They too scary there =(." Lol ok Syco.
Its funny as hell how you throw jabs at certain cities 😂 in your intro of swamp stories. Sidenote Being from St Louis I remember when B's and C's were apparent in the late 80's early 90's. Things were already bad but they got worst. Hell even my mommas side of the family in Shreveport/Bossier City LA was experiencing the same thing around that time.
I know I noticed that too. And some of these cities do have a reputation with gangsters so sometimes I wonder has this guy been anywhere other then where he's from.
I’m in STL now and originally from Shreveport.. both cities 1000x crazier than Denver 😂. Gotta keep your head on a swivel in our cities.. in Denver you just gotta look out for a random tweaker screamin at you
@@BayouJeaux thing about the city, niggas ain't never gotta prove shit to a outta state nigga , Every city got it's secrets real talk. Shouldn't speak on something you don't know about 💯
dude this shit is wild to see this shit all over again. im from kc but been in denver since 05 and dude is spot on. i was there shooting a music video on Holly a week before that shit happened! all you need now is to add the rules of colorado blvd and you set
I saw you showing Woodie Wood on your intro saying your dropping some new bangers soon hopefully you show something about him to spread some information about the og
Typical of him lol 😆 I like watching to see how much info he gets wrong ..... literally every video he pronounced a name wrong lol if you did homework you would definitely know how to pronounce names especially cyco Mike tf is sicko Mike its phyco Mike with a C for crip how do you mess that up also Sunny Barger he says sooony tf you mean 😂 square
Yo this mad late but I’m from Denver born and raised, I think it’s amazing you telling out story cause mfs think it’s sweet out here think it’s all hiking and skiing, but the truth of the matter is Denver is worse now then then, it’s a growing city and we know wit a mass influx of people come a mass influx of crime shout out Swamp stories for not making us out to be a Cow town
I remember when the Ckrabs did this and the Hill side still thriving till this day and the other side of the boulevard is turnin into an all white neighborhood
@XXX SWOOP 🤣🤣🤣🤣 its the truth young man Bloods been getting chip more then any hood out here , West side , park hill , Commer city doesnt matter they been.droppin .. BIG TT MACK ,LIL TT MACK ,lil bounce, big TAZE , P NOE , DYS , SPAZZ OUT, HOOD RICH , CK WITTIT , G4, TROUBLE WEST , BEAR , Michigan , 311 ,,, No other Gang in the metro has lost more then the Bloods ..
Actually the owner of the liquor in the shopping center store burned it down for insurance money but it did cause a gang war because the bloods thought the crips did it.
The sad part about this video is all the important facts were not correctly explained everything important was wrong on behalf of whoever put this together. Obviously his research wasn’t done good enough
Watching all these stories so wild to me. Im from Fayettevile, NC and in NC everyone swears Fayettevile and Durham are the wildest places on earth. Like, its murder non fuckin stop around here. But then when you compare it to places like, LA, or Chicago, the numbers just dont' match. Its all about where you from I guess, its "relative", if you live some place and your constantly getting into shit, your gonna think you live in a horrible place.
I grew up in Denver and where I lived it was a little rough. People always wanted to prove something because people would always say we weren't as hard as Cali. It made a lot of loose cannons to many friends died during that time over the stupidest stuff.
Man denver is a peace of cake compared cities like New Orleans, L.A,Chicago or even miami. This guy trying to make Denver like it's that violent which it's not.
@@rapgee698 it's got its pockets. Just because Denver looks a certain way doesn't mean people haven't expenecied crazy shit. Shit went down and it's still going on. Tell the people the lived and died through stuff it was a piece of cake.
@@michaelduha I been living in Denver since 96.I been through every so called bad neighborhood you can think of.Now the hell hole I'm from they can keep that mess
@@michaelduha I've actually have told many people that it's a piece of cake. And many of them that is real and been to other cities know it was a been of cake.I have family members that were big g members wouldn't want to live in that hell hole in New Orleans. I'm good out here in Denver.
It’s so strange how these boys family escaped cali to find peace then when they find it. They recreated the dangerous and idiotic and senseless environment that they escaped from. This is truly just a cycle in our community watching all of these videos make me angry because why do we do this to ourselves??
yeah man it is pretty fucked up when u think about it but them as kids couldn’t control what influence these gangs had and it’s all pushing at this point. Most OGs don’t be with that gang stuff and even push people to join football and to not join the gang. I don’t think they recruit anymore
I visited Denver a few months ago on vacation and let my girl book the room. We get there and I notice we were down the block from MLK, I knew we had to be close to the hood even though it looked heavily gentrified. I asked a girl at 7-11, this the hood huh, she said yeah boy this Park Hill lol. I did see some hood activity despite all over the new apartments and stores around. I had a good time though and the locals were pretty cool. Colfax ave in Aurora was definitely poppin
@@missprizzy1 yeah it was wild a.f, I could instantly tell it used to be super lit back in the day. I found a really good Mexican restaurant there though lol
If you from Denver/Aurora And is or was active during these times, Do not get in these comments helping solve crimes, Let Ol swamp ass be loud & wrong#iykyk
Yeah, he fucced the whole story up🤨 Thats why I'm doing what I'm supposed to so we can tell our own fuccin story. These Mufuccas don't know Chit about my City🤨💯👎🏽
The bloods didn't kill cyco it was the aurora west side crips. It happened in the Witherspoon apartments by hinkley high school. Get you stories straight. I grew up here in Denver and know the facts..
That bum had it coming, Darrent Williams was actually hitting on a crip members wife in the club, 5 crips almost beat him in the club, he started spraying her, them and others with champagne, Darren's homies were throwing up gang signs and all of the broncos there were laughing saying "fuck the crips".. that's why the limo got lit up like 40 times!!, all them Broncos then played the victim like bitches!!.. lmmfao 2 broncos had hits put on them after that.
I moved to Denver a few years back and put my kids in private school and during the introduction I got this same story. They gave me a history on the school’s enrollment and they blamed the gangs from LA for low enrollment in the 90’s. Gangs run that city and still do.
