Body Double is a 1984 American erotic thriller film directed, co-written, and produced by Brian De Palma. It stars Craig Wasson, Gregg Henry, Melanie Griffith and Deborah Shelton. The film is a direct homage to the 1950s films of Alfred Hitchcock, specifically Rear Window, Vertigo and Dial M for Murder, taking plot lines and themes (such as voyeurism and obsession) from the first two.

The world was so much better back when Brian DePalma, Paul Verhoeven and Darío Argento were masters of their craft.

I loved this movie when I saw it on cable in the 80’s , and Body Double is still one of top 5 all time favorite films ! Over the years I grew to really notice how amazing the atmosphere was as well as the mood and cinematography and Film Score was !

I have always loved and cherished this movie. Watched it way too young as a kid in Canada and it made a huge impression. One of my fav erotic thrillers. Barbara Crampton changed my world! Loved the InSite into the adult film industry especially back then! Great mystery and who done it? I loved the cast but if this film had more star power could have changed it's world. Its a wonderful cult classic and my 2nd fav DePalma film.
