I’m so glad you mentioned getting Rise of Skywalker vibes. I did too, I mentioned that to those I saw it with. For me, there were just so many groaners. So your experience with teenagers is not the only personality displayed by them. Her character was smart, but still had some growing up to do. Most likely her character will develop more in upcoming projects. So it didn't bother me.

To be fair… they were giant ants with tech on par or greater than kang’s in addition to modok breaking his forcefield. Over a thousand car-sized eusocial insects rushing him and ripping his tech apart is actually not actually proof he’s weak. Plus he was in a place where he wasn’t at his strongest: beyond time.
