This was the film my little sibling and I watched when we first met our step dad. He seriously held in a lot of tears for the whole ending because he didn't want to cry as part of his first impression on us. 😂

@@TheRonin2024 I understand the hate ppl have for Cars 2, but I love that movie regardless. I don't like how it drifted away from the main story and turned into a random spy movie, but I love how creative they got with all the gadgets and tone of the movie. At the end of the day I'm just not invested in the whole Cars franchise so it doesn't bother me. Croods 2 on the other hand does bother me. I couldn't wait for the sequel because of how masterful the first one was. Unfortunately the movie was... well it wasn't necessarily bad, but it didn't have the same soul/heart like the first one did. They HTTYD 3'd it (Do not get me started on how sh*tty HTTYD 3 is). The whole tone of the movie was a mess. The characters felt out of character because of the different animation style. It was done well but felt like a completely different franchise. To me it felt like a quick cash grab.

I remember when I first watched the Croods. My mom and brother were away for the weekend, so I was alone with my dad. We went to a dutch pancake house and to a movie theatre afterwards and we were the only ones there, it was a fun day. I recently rewatched the DVD and only when I watched the credits realised that NICHOLAS CAGE and RYAN REYNOLDS were in this movie and I was flabbergasted

The ads for The Croods all showed the daughter climbing cliffs and complaining about the dreary life in the cave and her father not letting her do anything. "Another 'princess' goes out on her own and has adventures movie," I thought. But strangely -- the movie was really the father's character arc. But princesses sell more.

Croods is probably one of the last great ones of modern cinema. It has a great story to tell and an even greater message, you could stay in the cave and survive for the rest of your life, but a little bit of courage can be infinitely more rewarding. A lesson our ancestors were forced to learn and one we have mostly forgotten.

I don't know, I love how Grug is written. He's not just this jealous Dad trope who wants to keep everything in order. I mean, he kind of is, but it's not consistent. Rather than take him from hard to soft, his arc's all over the place, sometimes he's more understanding, and other times, he goes into overcritical. I mean, he even tries to be his own Guy right out of nowhere in the middle of the movie. One may say it's poor writing, but it just makes it so random and hilarious, I can't help but love it.

This was my 3rd movie I watched in Theaters. The others before it were Dreamworks Kung Fu Panda and Transformers Dark of the Moon, as Is watched them with my late father. This one was the first I watched with my entire family. I always love this movie.

I understand if you would prefer to focus on movies, but if I may suggest the series Race to the Edge, it explains some of the plot holes in How to Train Your Dragon 2, like Hiccups fire sword and flight suit, Hiccup and Astrids engagement, and, most notably for me, where the Hel Skullcrusher and Grump came from. The series is really great and has (opinion of pretty much the whole HTTYD fandom) the best villains in the franchise, like a certain pair of brothers. I would really recommend watching it, even if on your own instead of recording a reaction, but if you liked the movies, you'll most definitely like it. There was another series before, but to be honest, besides two characters (maybe three) you dont need to know anything from it. Just a warning, it might make Stoicks death in HTTYD 2 more devastating.

Croods is one of those movies that look like they'll be one those cheap, typical films you may not enjoy all that much- But when you actually watch it, it's really fun and entertaining! I like the take on the prehistoric setting with different creatures and introduction of human advancement

I'm sad, I tried to watch this last night, but then I decided to try again to book my plane ticket back to the states that I've been struggling with, and it just ended up too late. It's still in my computer at 10 minutes, 13 seconds. Maybe I'll finish it after I watch this, and I'll be able to watch it with more of a Totally Cody perspective.

Oh no! Can't believe the animated movies are almost over?! It was truly an amazing and such a fun experience watching Pixar, and Disney movies.. so I believe you already have seen Moana or The princess and the frog or Frozen? And also, when you do get back to seeing animated movies again, do you think you can react to more dreamwork movies such as Trolls, The Boss Baby(a second movie on the way) , Turbo, (if you haven't yet seen them) or Sony Picture animated movies such as Hotel Transylvania which has three movies and another on the way this year! One question, will you be reacting to some upcoming animated movies in the future such as Disney Pixar Luca coming this June or "The minions Rise of Gru" which you said you would when it comes out. Or Disney Pixar Encanto which will be coming during the fall?

I can never forget the first time I saw this movie in theaters. 10 minutes in while drinking fruit punch I laughed and it came out my noses landing on the seat in front of me.....I’m glad it didn’t hit that guy😅😂

I love this movie, it reminded me that Nick Cage is a legit actor and not always a meme, though he just has to go bonkers in the booth a few times for this one still. It's funny but wow did the ending make me feel things when I first watched it. Also I hope your channel doesn't get terminated once you cover the Studio Ghibli films, I've seen that happen to at least a couple other channels.

Hey! I love your channel and your reactions! Since you liked Spirit so much in one of your recent videos, I thought I could recommend a couple other fantastic horse movies for you! Some of my personal favorites are Secretariat (2010) and Ruffian (2007). If you watch these two, I definitely recommend seeing Secretariat first! Both of these movies are remarkable true stories ending in triumph and tragedy. Cannot recommend these two strongly enough!
