If Brandon Lee had lived he would have been the greatest action hero Hollywood has ever seen, its to bad that the people who were responsible for the gun props on this movie were completely incompetent.
This scene feels like Alice Cooper, mixed with Joker, killing bad guys in a Matrix or John Wick style to a badass industrial metal music. The whole movie is one big masterpiece! RIP Brandon Lee \m/
Brandon Lee reminds so much of Johnny Depp.....The Crow what a ground breaking film....Ledger obviously took a lot of inspiration for his Joker Character and even this scene in itself is similar to the Joker when he walks in on the villains....touches of The Matrix too with the long black leather trench coats and the slow mo shots !! What a loss both Lee and Ledger were !!
@@drans60 The name of the song is "Devil's Night". The composer's name is Graeme Revell ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Al6xgQsXzTs.html
I love the Crow ! :) Brandon Lee was so awesome in the movie and he did the performance of a life time . Top Dollar is one of the greatest movie villains in my opinion . '' Chaos, disorder, anarchy . Well that's fun ! ''
Wow, as of right now this was uploaded 17 years ago. One of the earliest videos to be posted and still has people watching and commenting all these years later. A powerful film beyond words. Thank you, Brandon...
One of the most bad ass action scenes ever filmed. And it was done WITHOUT wire-fu or CGI. Brandon Lee would have been a massive star after this film...RIP.
@@Gatz22 Yeah I laughed so hard the first time I watched this and saw him do that. It was totally Eric being a smart ass with the cops because he knows they can't really do anything to him.
I thout he died at the gunshot to the hand scene. When he put his palm against the barrel. I still love this scene. He is so much like his father in this. Rest in peace, Brandon.
partly, though i would argue they were inspired more by John Woo's films, they had waayyyyy more Dual-Wielding gunfights , wayy cooler Slow-motion destruction, long-takes(that hospital scene in Hard Boiled) and more bullet-dodging/diving. Basically what Hong Kong action cinema is, but the atmosphere and the outlook of The Matrix is very much like The Crow's.
Having just watched The Crow on Blu-Ray recently, I beg to differ, it has not lost it's touch. Its a very grim, gritty and violent tale and it does have more emotion than the Dark Knight (which I also enjoy). Flavour of the month, I love the way you come up with these quotes lol.
as much as i enjoyed the remake of this one for the serious i think they should make a new movie not a remake of this one, ive enjoyed all the crows and personally if its a new story im fine with it just cuz he died during it doesnt mean it should end a great idea
Skank, the character you always got stuck behind in the queue at the off licence on a Friday night in Britain during the 90s. Putting together his loose change for the diamond white.
I'd like to believe Heath Ledger's Joker was inspired by this movie, I also want to say Heath Ledger himself was inspired by Brandon Lee's performance.
in case anyones wondering: The song playing in the backround is called After the Flesh by My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult. I know because I've got the soundtrack which is awesome btw. RIP Brandon Lee
Brandon Lee was a massive John Woo fan. Considering Brandon wore a leather trench coat and duel wielded a pair of handguns, I always like to think that this scene was to pay homage to Woo’s work.
