A tribute to Yael Faber's amazing production of Aurthur Miller's The Crucible. Performed at the Old Vic in 2014 starring Richard Armitage. Pretty much I heard this song and they just clicked. I own nothing.
I was lucky enough to see this play at the Old Vic in 2014.It was amazing. The whole cast was great & Richard Armitage (my favourite actor ) did a magnificent job of playing John Procter.
My class was assigned this play in high school so we read it and then watched the film and I was probably too young but at the time I really hated the play and the only character I liked was John Proctor. Then when I bought and watched this on Digital Theatre (because sadly I live in the US so couldn't get to any live performances) this production made me understand the play so much more and Richard Armitage took the only character I liked from the play and made me completely love and feel for him. And Anna Madeley made me realize just how strong Elizabeth is which I never understood the first time, they were both phenomenal and their final scene had me sobbing.😀❤️🎭
So great to have this as a souvenire of an truly unforgetable night at the Old Vic at the most electrifying performance by Richard and ensemble, he really deserved to be named 'Best Actor' at the 'Olivier' awards. Wonderful
