I think the fact that it’s called crunch plaza says a lot. Maybe the developers sending a small message, because it might be meant as “crunch” as in the gaming development being rushed. Maybe also why the A is so off center, could be intentional. Just my thoughts, no prove for that.
Cyberpunk 2077 doesn’t even scratch the surface of what this franchise is even capable of. This game oozes with passion and potential. Potential that was never taken advantage of. Orion must take advantage of this incredible universe.
A 'missing persons' sidequest Mod to this area would be a brilliant way to add something to it without revamping the entire area. It could be made as a hommage to the Devs during crunch, and have a bunch of "dev inspired" npc models (maybe as construction workers) dead scattered around the mall, with notepads describing clues to what went wrong with the development of the Mall. Say for example they were all worked to exhaustion, and were trafficked immigrant workers that had no other choice but to work until their deaths, due to the corpo investor rats contractually locking them here until it was complete or something. And killing them off when thier interestswent elsewhere? Regina could send you a text to scope it out from a tip from a journo or something. It would tie into her 'missing persons' mod nicely. It makes sense that maybe this was meant to be this way intentionally due to the games crunch, and the offset 'A', does signify the incomplete nature of the complex. Nice little unfinished easter egg haha
was just thinking this, the city was never finished so why not rework it completely, it played out perfect for SR2, old fans didn't have to relearn the map and new fans could enjoy a fresh feeling game, really hope its at least considered as a DLC for Orion.
This makes me feel actually said. Imagine having lots of places like this all over Night City. This verticality would have made Night City truly unique.
CP2077 is a good game, but playing it I can’t help feel it’s missing a lot. The start of the game is great, so many choices and your choices have an impact, and same with the end of the game, but the whole middle of the game (except Kerry Eurodyne’s story) feel rushed and empty. Now Phantom liberty on the other hand is amazing and is what the rest of cyberpunk should’ve been like-detailed and atmosphere is amazing
PL really saved the game, and made it one of the greats- but, you’re correct, I’m exploring every part of it, and it’s so many finely tuned pieces, details, and side quest- along with things that have nothing to do with your main quest, or side quest, but have so much involved into it- but, you come across it randomly, if you’re one to explore. I felt that was something amazing, and made the game so special to me.. the fact they put so much love into it, that they knew ppl like me would explore every nook and cranny, that you find gruesome scenes, down to crooked cops being offed in the most random hidden places with shards explaining what just went down. I love that there’s a Batman of NC too, ANNND! He actually has a batcave where you can acquire the Batmobile(MurkMobile).. I love the hidden real estate you can acquire too, the one by MegaBuilding 10(I think) where there’s an elevator around the corner- you pay a fee, the elevator gives you access to it.. it’s the huge penthouse from the anime that David & Lucy were living in. My mind was blown away with that; the small flat screen was a bit of a letdown tho, lol. The mission with Gary, and where it led too!? My God, it made the hair on my neck stand up, especially when I thought nothing was gonna come of it- then it did.. or the Cyberpsycho in the fridge with the cult like imagery of a sacrifice being made- then this daemonic entity comes out of it, but!!!!!! If you look around before that? The dang thing is staring at you from the corner!! I was freaked out, but I would lie if I didn’t say a tear didn’t form from how awesome that was! I truly love the game, imo, it’s the greatest game I’ve ever played.. I have put a thousand plus hours into it, on my PC, on my PS5? 600 hours.. but, on my PC, the mod community made the game into something extremely special.. there’s multitudes of different mods that change the entire scope of it. I put a thousand plus hours into it, and guess where I’m at, far as the main quest? I’m just at the Panam quest, where we are testing on the AV.. INSANE RIGHT!? I’ve been doing NCPD, Missing Persons, Side Gigs, and exploring finding Easter eggs, those random crime scenes, police fire fights between gangs, random quest that just happen due to being in the right place.. there’s even heartbreaking quest that really get to you, and stick with you outside of the game. Like the Ex-Cop who couldn’t cope with life, the neighbor, who you feel saved him, became closer- then you see caution tape across the door, police explaining what took place.. so sad.. the serial deleter in the farm house/slaughter house, finding the netrunner fried, and the hilarious quest of the guy who’s peen malfunctioned.. or the guy in the trunk begging for his life.. the daughter who you find in the van tied up, and lifeless.. the father who sold out his own son.. or how about the random bodies hanging without a head.. all those iconic weapons, my favorite is the Blackwall Jinchu, and NetHound, or Guts!! The Cyberdeck/Chrome Compressor that makes you a Daemon Lord, then you can add another Cyberdeck, which I Got the Canto MK6.. or you can have the ChromeCompressor Cyberdeck + Overclocked Sandy/Berserker + Thors Hammer + The Skywalker leg joints + tool hand + Lucy’s Monowire with all the greatest daemon quick hacks!!! Man this game is incredible
Along the tracks on the side of the ripper I swear there was supposed to be a ginormous train station plaza. It matches up with how everything is connected in the plaza
I remember exploring this area finding it naturally. It was honestly kind of fun! Cyberpunk 2077 is an amazing game. I am FINALLY about to start the DLC. Super excited!
There is another much smaller area that goes up much higher and ends in a small club/bar at its very top. I havent found any missions that lead up there. I believe it was possibly a start at vertical exploration just before staff were probably pulled from it and forced to work on the main game. I would have to go back and find it again.
@@SirMZK re found another old one, at the top of Metro: Charter Hill and across the bridge, just off the Luxury Apartments travel point in Westbrook. Very similar, but not the one I am looking for which requires a lift to reach. But the one I am looking for is in that area somewhere, just can't find it again.
Just could've open the crunch plaza and lock metal heaven for some kind of concert inside, the territory blocked from player is huge (also could make a parking with broken elevator which is not as hard as making a whole casino floor)
Here's hoping (yet again) that the orion project gives us Night City as it was meant to be. When you see areas like this so underdeveloped and unused, left as just worldbuilding and filler to show the larger world, you can't help but feel robbed, but also wonder just what was going on behind the scenes that left the game in this state. Of course we all know about the crunch culture and the problems with the PS4 version that probably massively contributed to that as well.
All I can say after viewing this is that with Orion my expectation is the Devs learned from their mistakes and they'll take all the time in the world to get the game out properly
So at 2:27 there are a bunch of blank yellow signs that move downwards into the floor, and I noticed you didn't bring those up at all. When you're walking/run jumping around that area, you can see more floor marks where these signs were. What do you think these things were for?
Oh my goodness I was literally just there yesterday at the gun shop thinking this place was definitely supposed to have more to it. Especially since there is that fallen NCPD crate outside the elevator and I caught a glimpse of some NCPD police holograms on the bridge above.
A theory I came up with is that Metal Heaven was supposed to connect to the Johnny quest line/Samurai quest line, starting with the first quest you where suppose to sell them/bring the bootlegs you acquire to Metal Heaven which might have triggered the Samurai questline. To me it was so strange that after acquiring the bootlegs, they where never brought up again, and the whole Bootleg quest can be skipped if you want to complete the Samurai part of the game. I assume the Johnny questline was supposed to be longer and recruiting the old members of Samurai would've worked a bit differently, witg Metal Heaven would've been a central place for this Samurai quest. So something like this - You aquire the bootlegs, than bring them to Metal Heaven - Metal Heaven seller is impressed, and after some back and forth Johnny budged in and asked if you'd reunite the band - You'd got 3 recruitment missions for each bandmember. Rescue Nancy, blow up the UsCracks van and something related to Danny - You did the concert at Metal Heaven. Kerry was originally not supposed to be a loveintrest, and I assume they rearranged things around when they wanted Kerry to become a love intrest or had time constraint. Kerry's Love intrest quests are so strange, as they start pretty late into the game, where you have to basically complete all basic quests and completed all of Johnny's quests (except the bootleg quest). And with the exception of the first one they are non-combat missions. It feels like they quickly gobbled together the USCracks questline to have at least something for Kerry. Btw, you can walk on Crunch plaza without mods if you use dubblejumps/dash to climb over the fence.
NPC#1 to NPC#2: I just saw the weirdest s**t today! I saw this babe just jump and float through the air and... I swear she just went through a f***ing wall!!! NPC#2: C'mon man! Hitting too much of that oxxy are we? NPC#1: You gotta believe me man!!! I saw it on the 3rd floor of Crunch Plaza. That place is haunted choom.
It truly makes me sad that this game will never be 100% complete as it was envisioned. What we got was pretty remarkable though, so I'm grateful; one of the most best stories/experiences I've had the privilege to partake in.
@@evanlee93 I'm not at all familiar with modding cyberpunk or the third party tools but my thinking was it could show way more about those unused areas like NPC spawn points or navmeshes or even unused quest related items. if I was a CDPR higher up that rushed cyberpunk out in the state it was during launch I wouldn't want people to know how much stuff was nearly fully implemented but got cut because of that
This game is such a masterpiece, the story telling in it is like no other. Such a shame that so much content had to be cut.. stunning city but you can’t help but start to feel like shit because you will come across a building or a place that was clearly cut. The game could genuinely have been the greatest game of all time with more time. Can’t wait for the sequel, hopefully they continue V’s story.
The "Crunch" plaza? I guess the developers were more frustrated than us not being able to finish things. That's actually one of the coolest areas. The view and verticality is amazing. Reminds me of the parade mission in Japan town. Could've been an interesting place to do some gigs or missions up there.
Could you do a mod that restores crunch plaza like the north oak casino? I'd love to see that, I have seen this place empty since 2020 and I was so sad that it didn't got updated with the latest updates
@@SirMZK You could just decorate just the walkways a bit, making Crunch plaza at least more complete, yeah sure the inside of Metal Heaven wouldn't be restored, and it would still be a useless walkway, but at least you can walk in-game around it without using teleport mods, and do some selfies I guess. For example, you can probably lock off/hide the parking garage elevator by placing it inside some solid box, and have a crowed around the Metal Heaven entrance screaming like crazy, and maybe have a semi-big restaurant on the right side. Eventually if you feel like it you can try to create a custom scanner hustle if that is possible, or maybe your own little quest. But its up to you of course. I think you can start simple and expand over it if you feel like it, or try something new with it.
Crunch plaza is heartbreaking, I remember long before the game came out the devs were exctiedly sharing how vertical NC would be compared to the witcher maps and that they would really take advantage of that... and then we hardly got any of it. Parts of Japantown like where you meet Takermura for the parade are super cool, just wish there were more skybridges and walkways, shops, and levels to check out. It's a real shame there's no really big or crazy mission inside of a mega building or anywhere on these rooftops/walkways. There's like one gig that takes you to one section of a megabuilding and that's about it, and it still doesn't explore the concept too deeply, despite Dredd being a whole movie about how to have a bunch of cool action inside of one. Definitely a design philosophy that was ditched for the sake of saving time, sad to see and hope that's rectified in Orion.
I really hope we get one more “immersion” update that adds a bit more stuff to do to easily keep the game alive(because let’s be really we’re not getting the sequel until late 2028 at the earliest if CDPR learned from their mistakes) and adds some locations that got scrapped
I hope Cyberpunk Orion will be as full as 2077 was supposed to be. Just being able to go up stairs and us elevators to get access to catwalks that go over the roads is a breath of fresh air compared to being on the ground all the time. if they fleshed it out with vendors and other things like the gun store you saw, it would just make it feel more lively, and more like cyberpunk in a way. I really wish we got what we were promised in Cyberpunk, not to say it isn't good as it stands, but boy is it a different game than what we were told from the beginning.
Im playing CP again right now and even though its a good game it makes me sad at times, so many areas look like you where supposed to enter, from the gigantic corpo buildings to small clubs or shops on the street, then you go there but cant get in. The Kiroshi HQ makes me especially sad there are even corpses as the back hinting that a quest was supposed to be there 😢
I stop by that gun store and sky bridges quite frequently and never knew I was only a few steps away from a cut area. Though I did noticed the oddly blocked off walkway in front of the gun shop and the VIP parking with no connection to any high-end businesses.
Im not sure if uv already done this but im curiois if theres any way to view the interiors features in the start cutscene at the end of the prologue like mama welles house, the car dealership, the disco and a few other interiors, would be cool to see them in a bit more detail
The main storyline and the branchin side missions from the characters like Judy's storiline, Panam's storiline, River's storilene which starts with a greate choosable sidequest and Kerry Euridine's storile are amazing and there are very well written sidemissions. I think these "unused" areas would heve been the real sidejobs, not gigs which are enjoyable but not real stories behind them.
Unfortunately there is not enough information on this area to really pinpoint what exactly is supposed to be there besides the missing music shop but well I’m more excited about the leaks that there is another expansion in the works for Cyberpunk 2077
What leak are you talking about? The moon base? It seems that was cut very early in development, so it isn't still in the works. Plus CDPR has said all their developers are working on Polaris (and some on Orion).
Ok the leak is about a smaller expansion that was mentioned almost 3 years ago it gives us a new game plus feature & it gives us 20 extra story side missions & that’s it’s & technically one of CDPRs guys contacted me & few others on Reddit & told us about how the new game plus was going to work & some people were disappointed & some people were ok with the news but the new game plus doesn’t allow u to earn any new skill points or attribute points & a lot of people were upset, now the 20 new story side missions offers a multi-romance feature where the male V can choose from 3 females to romance & the female can choose between 3 guys but we’ll see
@@jakeking6956 How do you know it was a developer that contacted you? Did they provide proof? I had seen rumours of a potential NG+ feature, but based on what we have actually seen at this point, I doubt whether there will be any future additions to Cyberpunk 2077, at least in the near future.
Yes I have proof cause me & a few others on Reddit screenshotted the interviews where CDPR was talking about the expansion & technically they have been working on the new game plus for 3 years now & the rest of the expansion is just 20 extra story side missions & that’s it & if u r the male V you get the choice between three females to romance & one of those females is Meredith Stout & the female V gets the choice between three guys & one of the other things that was mentioned was that Vs mansion that u visit when u do the Johnny & Rogue ending will be available purchase but we’ll see buddy
With the amount cut from the game, it’s surprising they couldn’t add more. Or fast pace Cyberpunk 2 by the end pf the year. We will just have to wait for the Witcher game to finish.
im hoping orion will be pretty much just a fleshed out version of 2077. it would be a damn shame to move on from night city due to just the sheer amount of content that IS there, but isn't accessible.
@@SirMZK (Don't know if I am repeating this) just hoping they don't focus on online stuff. That's a mistake and a huge flag. (something wrong with youtube comment section..... my other comment didn't seem to post.)
@@vxrixnt00 I've said it before, but Night City is to Cyberpunk what Gotham City is to Batman. It's not just a place, it's an integral part of the mythos
Just started playing the game and I’ve put in 60 hours easily, and probably 60 hours of watching videos like yours. I love this game so far, I don’t think I’m even half way through the main story yet
I hope that they take current Night City, and add all the cut content and expand the mega buildings fir the sequel. Since they have most of the city done already, they could expand the wasteland area too.
I gueass it is hard to finance long term projects in night city. You get big idea, you find sponsors, but before the project is finished the finances get cut off for some reason. I imagine if not corruption, then the sponzor gets some lead in the head
I've noticed the elevators directly across the street from you at 2:24 also work fine. if you ride it up to the top floor and walk though the wall, there's a spot you can stand and walk around on as if at one point there was a top floor you could access from those elevators.
was honestly thinking of learning amm to like build onto this place and possibly restore it but seems like that will be a far goal for me atm been playing 2077 as aiden from WD1 right now lol. i wonder though could you possibly re-enable that stuff like the cut props and possibly make that a mod? besides that stuff i was honestly also thinking of taking on the huge task of recreating the leaked moon DLC stuff 2077 has.
Unfortunately the props shown in wkit here are mproxy meshes which cant be used for making decent props with. The just look like shit really. But VEurodyne over on Nexus has some fantastic musical instrument props you could use. Check the second page when searching "prop". Combine that with ProximaDust's Prop Paradise pack and you could easily remake it as a preset, just make sure to include the location file with the preset since it isnt easy to access normally. I'm working on a thrift shop pack for myself that I am considering trimming down to a basic retail pack that could mix well with the other two as well, but honestly between those two plus with what AMM already comes with youd have more than enough.
Just another good example of what kind of work a team of half ass AAA developers really do... they put more time and effort/ detail in making the irrelevant adult toy shops noone asked for that you can enter, and the disgusting immoral propagated billboard sign ads... thats probably the reason why they didnt give us drivable flying cars like they promised... to force us to watch that crap!... Its just a Trash game made by a trash company, who rushed the developers so they can scam the players out of their hard earned money but thank you for the awesome video! and for exposing just how much work they really put into the environment.
would have to disagree with this. A great amount of care and consideration went into this project but of course time, shareholders, a global pandemic, changing story lines etc, meant it was stuck in dev hell and got shafted in every possible way. But to say the devs didn't care about this project is a straight up lie, it reeks of passion in many areas
@@SirMZK If they made this game with any passion in mind then it would clearly show in the functionality of the game and would have never been released the way it was... a broken, buggy, unplayable mess... you can disagree all you want but you can't deny the facts and the reality of how its percieved by everyone else. Quit shilling for a multibillion dollar AAA gaming company that doesn't care about your Allegiance or loyalty to them, unless they are paying you to defend this sorry excuse of a AAA wannabe cyberpunk game.
Yep so again you’re not reading the facts. Just because something releases in a sorry state doesn’t mean the devs “don’t care”, do you think devs are the only guys involved with the game? Use your brain, they do as much as they can within the constraints of the project. How many quarter pounders can you make in McDonald’s if your manager shuts the place 3 hours early and sends half the kitchen home?
@@SirMZK lmao use my brain? use your eyes dude! It's very obvious that whomever worked on this game didn't put their all into it, they had 8 years to make this game prior to its release, and probably had even more time before that to get it done... they had all the time, money, technology and staff to make this game a masterpiece but didnt, they physically removed content that was promised, they lied to everyone about how the game truly played... and the game still runs with issues... so shill harder man they may give you a promotion 👍
How could you say verticality isn't present in the game outside of this area? You have to get a little creative to take advantage of the all 3 dimensions but there's plenty of places you can. Also, does anybody know if all the crazy unfinished caves and tunnels that used to be under the badlands but sealed off are still there like they were pre-2.0?
