Big question I have is can you spawn more deerclops and beargers naturally if there is only their lunar counterparts in the world?

Hey beard. I just experienced something strange. I changed my world to only winter and disabled all other seasons to try to get to klaus faster and when i did i had 4 deerclops appear back to back in one day, i killed 3 of them but when the 4th one came and i killed it it became icicle clops becauseod the rift. Do you know why i had so many deerclops? I can’t find anything on the internet

Have you tried moving the dragonfly outside the arena for the fights? Could help with the aggro if he spawns larva in place.

if you manipulate the fight, and deerclops keep baraging the mutated bearger with his ice spikes, he'll do the fight no damage

I imagine you can do something similar with many fights but that's not the point of these boss on boss shindigs.

Do you have to be near these mobs in order for them to continuing to fight? If you went back to base to grab lunch and then came back, would they still be at fighting, or would they despawn?

They won't despawn unless they drop agro and all that. You'll be fine.

The lunars will stay but many of the bosses leave if no player is nearby, BQ and DF in particular. I think if they’re aggrod they won’t but as you saw they lose aggro quite easily.

Shame. Looks like a three way between the new bosses is the only useful one. But that sure does look promising.

Deerclops has another advantage for the purpose of boss on boss action: you can use Hostile Flares to spawn her repeatedly during winter. Bearger only spawns once a year by default.
