Absolutely fabulous the fist original lead singer of The Crystals Barbra Alston before La La Brooks with Dee Dee kennibrew & Mary Thomas original Crystal's on backing vocals. They sing "He's a Rebel" better then The Blossoms who Spector recorded the song with when The Crystals could not do the recording session due to them being on tour ( they heard on the Radio about a new release and When the DJ started to play the record they were shocked to hear the Blossom singing under The Crystal's name). Spector needed to record the song because another artist was also recording the song. So he recorded the song with "The Blossoms" and released it as The Crystals. Spector also did it with "He's Sure The Boy I Love". As far as I'm concerned these songs are The Crystals. RIP Babs your will always be a star. Mike xx
