John has THE BEST sounding snare in the history of Rn'R!

The first time I heard them was on WLIR in 1985…Have not gone a week since then without listening to my favorite band ever! And yes…You are smoking your contemporaries!!!!!!!!!

EXCELLENT Sound man ! Love the light show too !!! This should be the way all concerts are dialed in. You can every instrument independently. The Cult also did a concert in Los Angeles last year that I watched on RU-vid but it gave garage band sound... San Francisco, my hats off to your capturing such precision sound. One of my favorite concerts was at the "Bill Graham" Civic Auditorium where "Phil Lesh" opened for "John Mayer" on New Years Eve 2005/06. Both sounded fantastic! Nothing like the autistics in those old buildings... Ian's vocals are well seasoned here !!! The clearlity is needed for his unique execution! Nobody should have to trash their vocals to be heard. And when Jim Morrison said "The west is the best" on American Bandstand in 1967, he must have been referring to the sound...

Right from the first verse of She Sells Sanctuary Ian forgot the lyrics 56:43 and instead he tried to match the lyrics of Rain with the melody of She Sells, its kind of odd, aside from that I think Ian stills has a great voice and the band sounds amazing.

Wish they played Impermanence, I think that's such a great track off the new album, which IMHO is one of the best of their career. A Cut Inside, Mirror, and Vendetta X are great too tho. Great set list! Saw them in San Diego. Incredible
