Baroness von bon bon in game : I'm authoritarian head chopper Marie antoinette in sugar-coated realm. Baroness Von bon bon in show : I'm mommy long legs but candy.
It can't be a prequel because in the game that's when they first met both Mr Dice and the Devil while in the show they already met them before they got the power and the dept.
@@reginaldforthright805the game is mostly hand drawn while the show is digitally animated. It would've been very time consuming and expensive if it was the same style tbh.
I love how this show stays very faithful to the original game but it also tries to do its own thing, it’s pretty hard to give silent characters personality so the fact that they’ve managed to give all of the characters real personality is very impressive
Some of the quips they make after you die that gives some idea of their personality, their movement and behaviour play into their personality, and also they're not always silent.
It kinda surprised me that Cala Maria was a mean, kind of arrogant character and Von Bon Bon was a "nice" acting person who was actually sort of blood-thirsty, I really expected them to be the opposites. Edit: I never said I didn't like the characters nor said that the characters should have been different, I only said it surprised me because of how I thought they would be. If you people keep overreacting like this I will have to delete my comment.
I agree. I didn't really like what they did with their characters. Because the game portrayed them so different it just feels like they were forced into that role.
@le Zanji🇷🇺 It isn't because the characters are bad, it is because the characters were portrayed so differently in the game and the show, which is sort of dissapointing.
@le Zanji🇷🇺 Actually, they did. You remember the lines they say for us dying in each part of their boss fights? Those 2-3-4 lines would explain a lot about the characters to me.
@le Zanji🇷🇺 Plus we never said that we were mad about the characters or we didn't like the show, we are just sort of frustrated because our favorites didn't turn out to be like what we thought
I'm pretty sure the show has already been finished and it's just Netflix stalling for money, so since it was finished before the dlc was, they might not appear
I love how they handled the boss count. Counting boss-centric episodes and cameos, 11 bosses have been shown in the first season, counting Dice and Devil as well. It's a good amount, if they shoehorned bosses into every corner, the series would be jarring, and take no creative liberty and no motivation to make new characters. By occasionally giving them a full episode or putting them as a cameo, the show keeps a balance of smiling when your favorite boss gets some screentime. If they wanna add everyone, they'd need to make another four seasons, counting dlc bosses if each season has around 5 bosses. But the ones i can see happening next, my bets will be on Cagney, Goopy, Beppi, Wally, or Djinni.
I was so fucking mad when Sally stage play didn't get her own episode I am so mad she could have been used to reference olive oil from popeye the Sailor Man it would have been cool reference
true only 5 bosses from the game was in season 2 but i felt like they were too fast and didnt have much plot and was bland except for the cliffhanger of last episode so now we gotta wait for season 3 and hope the boys get the peashooter powers and parry
Great season, hoping for Hilda, Sally and matchstick to get their own episodes in s3. Cala Maria, briney and werner were great. Elder kettle cranked it up to 11 and he’s still my favourite character.
For episode 9 where the brothers and Chalice stumble upon the haunted house I was really hoping to see the rest of the phantom express members (since the eyeless ghost made a really small cameo that you could barely see in the 6th episode of season 1) sure they didn’t have to be on a train but I still wanted them to appear. Unfortunately though we didn’t get that and I was really disappointed. Besides I didn’t like the evil ghost vultures in that episode.
I'm pretty sure you're kind of wrong about the ms. chalice ghost one because techneclly the cuphead show came out before the dlc so it would make sense if it wasn't dlc related.
Actually the dlc already developed before the cuphead show pretty sure the executive producer of the chs which is the game developers, theyjust giving them an right idea for character design and lore for this show
What disappoints me the most was that there were no finger guns or weapons used to fight the enemies in the show, I feel like it'd be so much better since that's one of the most interesting parts of cuphead to me, the weaponry and the fight style. They just turned it into an adventure show which still isn't bad but still really disappoints me.
Spoiler: Seeing as mugman was kidnapped by The Devil, Cuphead might get the potion from elder kettle in season 3 thus leading to the Cuphead Boss rush we all know and love
The voices in the show are very different from what I thought they would sound like Cala Maria has a Slavic accent Baroness has a New York accent The devils has a fabulous 💅accent 😅
I think it would be a pretty fun "dream scene" of King Dice doing his "army of cards" from his bossfight as he is having some glorious dream that he is finally getting his revenge on cuphead. The whole episode starts wit hthis giant King Dice chasing Cuphead through a nightmarish cassino, surrounding him with an army of cards, only for him to wake up in a comicaly rude fashion.
1:27 me watching the crab from the show: “AHHH THAT LOOKS SCARY” 1:30 the crab from the game “I’m crab, I bump into wall now I will walk the other way”
For now atleast But considering Cuphead is already a big-name And netflix has a ton of money and a big company And this show already being profitable I would say that this could get a season 4 or even 5
Brineybeard: Professing all his heartfelt feelings he's had for probably a very long time. Maria: "Shut the hell up, man. I don't got time for this shit."
I never got into video games but I enjoy animation so I tried the Netflix show after I watched its trailer. So happy I started watching (I'm in the middle of season 2). The whole look is so impressive and gorgeous in its old timey glory. I was hooked from the opening credits sequence. The animation of Cuphead seemed like the Fleischer Popeye Technicolor two reelers. And the music was such fun, and the villains were awesome. I'm sure I'll watch it all again one day once I'm finished with my initial viewing.
Baroness Von Bon Bon's castle in game: "im too slow but at least my owner can decapitate herself and kill the cups." Baroness Von Bon Bon's castle in show: "IM FAST AS F*CK BOI"
If it were based on isles then they would’ve already done isle 3 with Cala Maria. The encounters are random and the bosses show up when the script calls for it. Otherwise the Cuphead show would probably only end up 30 episodes long.
Some where around 2:27 you are NEED TO CHECK IT BECAUSE IT is not right it does not Mach and if you go back to episode 1seson 1 sol ball he does the right move
I'm surprised they kept this well even though it was modern flash animation and not hand drawn. But for the show I do understand why they choose instead of cell hand drawn since it takes so much time.
@@badpiggies24 I was more shocked than anything. I honestly imagined the two having a rivalry. Then again, I don't think Cala Maria reciprocated based on what was shown here.
Fun Fact: The cyclops in the game is male, while the cyclops in the show is female. Does that meant that they are family or a couple? Also why is the female cyclops in jail?
The studio did that intentionally! The brothers who made the game grew up with old cartoons and games, so they wanted to create a unique video game in that art style! The entire game is also hand animated on paper!
