I am a pulmonary specialist. My first rotation in clinics was neurology, prior to CT examinations in 1974. The exquisite correlation between the clinical examination and pathology was amazing to a 2nd-year medical student. Dr. Newman-Toker's descriptions of the examination in this podcast can best be described as a fine painting of a masterpiece. Wonderful presentation and shows the importance of an examination prior to ordering the MRI, MRA, and CT examinations. History, physical, thought, and then diagnostic testing seems to be a lost art.
