This song is touching my deepest feelings.I've always been a fan of The Cure and I must say that I'm always impressed. This sounds like a comeback to The Cure dark period, with much more wisdom that comes with age. Even if I'm more then 10 years younger than Robert Smith, he couldn't tell better how it feels to get older, what it feels to think about younger past years. It's so deep, so beautiful and sad too, makes me so impatient to hear their new album. Hope it will be released soon. Thank you for this video.
I said to a friend “I hope the Cure release something before I’m too old and jaded to feel it” in fear that I’d lose that connection to music. That was in like 2010. Here it is 2022 and just hearing the music and his voice and the lyrics- it’s just as powerful as it was when I was 18! I don’t know how he does it, but Robert just has that gift- that emotional gutpunch that steals your breath for a moment. It’s so hard to put in words, but fans know it when they feel it.
