A lifetime ago (for me anyway) when people asked me what kind of music I liked, I used to say guitar music. This is decades before "genre" was a thing, before stuff had to be labelled. This is what I meant, not Bon Jovi or Bryan Adams. Goth mainly, Sisters, but the Pistols, the Damned, the Cramps, surf music, siouxsie, the Skids, Dead Kennedys. I swear to God this song is all about the current situation of people just believing in any stupid thing in front of them, while people who don't understand and have faith in society and humanity just stand in the background waiting for something better to come.
