This version of trust was a lot better than I thought it would be. I feel like the drums stayed close enough to the brilliance of the live 1992 version and it as a treat to hear Roger add some piano parts in there.
I've seen them live several times at the end of the '90s and beginning of 2000s but I didn't do go for the 2022 Tour as I am living somewhere remote right now. I regret not having been there though as I'm not sure if they'll ever do another tour again. I hope you've managed to go, since your message is 2 years old, they are definitely worth seeing live... if you like to have goosbumps and tears throughout the whole concert (usually 3 hours!) that is.
Great performance. It's incredible how the Cure in 2012 were able to give new life to a song like trust that here sounds a little different in a good way. From the edge of the deep green sea is like a whole album in one single song. Gorgeous.
Wow. Thanks. I've been listening to many live versions of FTEOTDGS and found myself here. Trust was a treat. This is crisp sound and better footage. Impressive crowd stand by that girl!
Saw them on the Disintegration tour...my favorite album of all time...and looking forward to seeing them at least one more time before the worms get me...
I totally agree. And a concerts they're usually the ones who are also talking loudly the whole time, reading their mobile phones at full brightness, and leave before the last song so they can beat the traffic.
Salu2
