The Current State of Disney SpeedStorm 

It kinda sucks how they timegate you behind such steep walls in hopes you open your wallet. At least in other gachas you can keep leveling.

The walls in the challenges really have been egregious. I've played nearly every day since the first week of season 1, I have every racer, I come near the top percents of every event, and still I cannot complete all the nodes in the season or challenges in the events, because they require such randomly high ranks for certain characters. I haven't spent any money beyond the founders pack and don't intend to, and I really like earning things in games and overcoming difficult challenges, but being under-leveled in this isn't fun because it becomes a 7v1 gangbang against you, while enemies zoom ahead beyond reach and nail you with items with pinpoint accuracy and high quantity. In the end, I'm fine with not everything being doable by everyone, and the idea of spending money to improve a character so that I can beat a challenge to improve the character is pretty silly. The thing that gets me is how they intentionally unbalance the game based on your level to incentivize spending. The challenge is level 40 Jasmine? Well level 39 Jasmine won't cut it. And that's if they even let you attempt it in the first place in some cases. I'll keep chugging along since the bones for a serviceable racer are there, but I'm definitely ready to drop it if really becomes too much.

You got me into Disney Speedstorm back when you debuted season 2, I've been playing religiously ever seen. I also agree with your opinions on this. Finally, Belle is my favorite, I got her to 5 stars and she is amazing.

Yes the games going to get worse after the new lvl tokens in season 7. There going to charge money for lvl up tokens and the higher level a racer the more lvl tokens u need. I don't know how much longer I could take.

I feel getting into a Disney GaS game is a bad idea no matter what angle you look at it.

Hey Albino, some of the information youre saying is inaccurate regarding their levels after the coins change. Your racer stars, levels, crew, and shards will stay the same as they currently are when the change happens. They gave some examples on discord under game news. So if you have a 4 star level 25, they will stay 4 star, level 25 after the change from being grwndfathered in. Also, one likely reason for the change is the sheer number of materials could bog the game down trying to track and update that for everybody on the servers instead of only keeping track of 2 currencies.

The 2-10 shards drop table value is a LIE. When you check the individual drops, it's actually 2-5 and then 10. No 6-9. It's so dishonest.

Damn man this game started off good but greed got to it like man like how’s this even a racing game when it matters about your characters rank or stars like they should all be base level no rank so everyone’s equal and they could’ve made money off of skins instead like look how many Disney characters there are to profit

Not a one positive comment about this game! Maybe material system change was needed. Old system worked for 20 racers and 50 material types, but doesn't work for 100 racers and 250 material types. If people who don't own everything are falling behind, why I ftp player, who joined in Alladin season, this season will be able to complete all season missions for the first time? Why I have never completed so many tour nodes until now? I will not get only 3 rewards from tour (Minnie's, Pete's and Belle's). Show me facts, that people are falling behind! Is there a person who only could complete 50 % of this season's tour, but was able to complete 75% from last season... I assume You are an american. Is there a constitution right or amendment that You deserve to own everything in a game no matter how long You play or how good You are? In 10 minute video I agree with just 1 comment. ONE. Yes buying shards for money is not worth it. Golden Pass is the only thing that is worth the money. And You know what? You can get it for free by playing this game!!! I play 4 ftp games (Snap, Ikariam, some Magic war something (homm3 clone)and this). THIS IS THE ONLY GAME WHERE I CAN GET GOLDEN PASS EQUIVALENT FOR FREE. And I ftp player own tokens for next 2 golden passes already.

I kinda like the new upgrade materials though since they like to put unobtainable materials to gate you (I remember those troll capes in the frozen season that were ONLY obtainable from multiplayer wich is pretty much impossible for a free to plat player, and of course there was a node requiring a character that was lvl 35 when you needed those capes to get to 35) now the only thing "locking" you out will be shards. You also failed to mention how terribly greedy Gameloft has become over time, the ursula event, the eve events were all terrible and aimed exclusively at whales. Ohh you want to unlock this mid season racer now because it's pretty much the only time it'll be available? Better have like 5-6 different characters lvl 30, all of wich are currently impossible to get unless of course, you pay, heck we'll even require one character that only 10% of the playerbase could obtain freely! I quit Speedstorm when I saw Event event, still keeps up to dates to developpement, and hope things will be less predatory so I can come back

5:50 Funny you say that because that's how it used to be back in closed beta... before they nerfed the crap out of all the systems. lol Even unlocking racers only took 1, ONE shard. And 2-star took like 10. This game really just feels like it was made to be a fun kart racer and then got infused with suit greed-juice. In that sense, I feel for the devs.

One thing I've been asking for them to change for the past two or three seasons. Is to separate the season box into two. One for racers and the other for crew mates. Especially with every new season the box is getting around 8-10 new additions to it and it's already getting impossible to get certain crew members for racers one wants or even racers.

Ranked is hot garbage fire right now. I can't even get a 25 Gaston to MPR23, it's that rough with the higher level players.

Your obviously blind when it comes to Ariel she is busted with 4 trinkets. Without trinkets my top speed is 7600 150mph With 4× trinkets top speed becomes 9k+ 174mph

Is it worth even trying to get into this game at this point?

I hope they support this game as long as possible, this is best kart racers of all time, I am serious, I play it almost everyday.
