Atp, I'm done with this franchise. I already unfollowed their IG, RU-vid and TikTok accounts 🤷🏿♀️. I can't take it anymore. It's becoming way too childish for me.
Toy store worker here from Europe so perhaps I can offer an interesting perspective. The original RH were not popular with kids, I think in their original run I sold only a handful of rh dolls to kids, especially compared to LOL OMG. Kids just generally preferred OMG which are generally more colorful and fantasy like? Which is ironic considering RH is all about color, but perhaps it’s the faces and the monochromatic color schemes that put kids off, but I can’t be sure, it’s just what I observed. They were right next to each other on the shelves too but kids just were far more excited about OMG and barely even glanced or grabbed RH dolls. Really the only consumers of RH or SH were adult collectors. While we certainly felt the impact from collectors we often were left with an excess amount of dolls because collectors already had them and kids did not want them. I think a major point though, which was highlighted in these leaks was price. RH was very expensive, basically pushing 40 bucks a doll. While I know that Target and Walmart have crazy discounts, that’s not really the case here (as far as I am aware) especially when Barbie and OMG were significantly cheaper. So I am not surprised if parents said no to purchasing a RH because of price. There also was the issue of getting the dolls at all since MGA as an US company sometimes did not globalize certain dolls, for example the slumber party and costume party dolls we were never able to get. Rainbow vision we only got the divas and royal three (we had three for each doll because they get delivered in boxes of three). Because of the localization issues, we had to sell them at 60 a piece to make any profit, which only collectors were willing to pay. But even so they had arrived months after the dolls had been released so we were left with the rest because collectors had them and the price was to expensive even when we inevitably marked it down at a loss. So I can only imagine what other countries or continents had to deal with. I can confirm that making the sales prices of dolls cheaper was the main aim with this reboot to make it more affordable. Roughly sticking to in the 25 bucks range from what the representative informed us in our store. Articulation and all the clothes are very expensive things in production so I am not surprised considering the details. Sticking the details on clothes is completely different kind of labor compared to just molding plastic crystals that have slime. I am sure the more child friendly look is also to make it more in line with OMG and so far I have noticed a definite increase in kids actually buying RH and according to a representative that came to look for a restock order, sales of RH since the reboot have definitely increased drastically. As for gimmicks, the trend rn in children’s toys is very gimmicky. LOL Surprise balls still are very popular, the miniverse resin balls even more so. Magic mixies have been sold out repeatedly. Slime still sells. Fluffle stuffle, squishmellows with their own names and story. Stuffed animals in general with a surprise amount of babies in their belly. Even Pokémon cards were it’s a gamble what you’ll get. All that stuff is just very popular so MGA taking that gimmick direction is not a surprise to me at all. Like even though I think it’s unnecessary as well, kids just seem to like it a lot. It’s sad because I really loved RH and collected them myself, but from MGA’s perspective it makes sense to refocus their target because kids just seemed to not care for RH despite the quality of the clothes or designs. Like no matter if it was regular rh or the junior high line they didn’t sell to kids which at the end of the day RH always was a playline fashion doll with a primary target towards children. Adult collectors just were a nice bonus to MGA. Yes it sucks for adult collectors, but when we are in our little corner of the internet I think we forget we are but a really small community who just love dolls. I think it’s valid to be disappointed, like I am disappointed with the more childlike direction, but I hope that this at least offers an insight from a sales perspective of their popularity in stores.
Sidenote, Poppy didn’t sell XD I see a lot of people confused by that but she didn’t. Well at least most of her dolls didn’t. The only one that sold out was the butterfly gown Poppy (which yeah obviously because that doll was gorgeous), but not very quickly, she somehow wasn’t the favorite, Amaya and Ruby sold out first on all three restocks. Violet was by far the least favorite of that line (lol we still have three of her in stock at a ridiculous discount price). But for the other poppy dolls it took months to finally sell them and again we had to usually mark her down a lot to get her to sell.
@@foxytrot249im from europe too and honestly rh and sh dolls are cheap in my country, we basically got every single doll that came out and to this day you could purchase any doll for dirt cheap online ( obviously in stores dolls tend to be a little more pricey, but i’ve personally never seen a rh doll that costs 40 bucks )
@@misiam9992 perhaps it depends on the country, note this was a personal experience I shared and I can’t speak for every country or store. Most stores I visited here were around a Similar price range as where I work, online it’s definitely cheaper but most online market places choose to sell certain products at a loss (while others at a higher rate to make up for it) just so people will buy their item online.
Here's how it happened...a corporation fired the old, talented design team and substituted people who don't know a tier skirt from a teeshirt. They knew slime. And we don't have to get used to it...just buy one if you like it and the resultant drop in sales will kill the line before the designers do it themselves. Then Rainbow High will be a memory and a really good one because it brought a little joy to a world sick with Covid-19. Let it go...its maker already has.
The reason why the wrist and thigh articulation is permanently removed is because they want to get a younger age rating for the toy. Not having small removable parts allows the dolls to have a + 4 rating instead of the + 6 rating that the original dolls had. Is it probably cheaper for them to produce yeah but the main reason is probably to get that younger age rating.
But the 4+ rating appeared last year while special edition of Junior High and New Friends line were released. Skyler's dream and design studuio and Shadow High series 3 too. All of these dolls still had wirst articulation. It would make sense if they changed it from the beginning of 2024 when slime dolls were announced.
This is so sad! Will be missing the OG RH/SH dolls :( fell in love with them because of their uniqueness and quality. So yeah.. if they cant bring back the quality and extra clothes, they just better off just to stop
At this point I'm ready for a new doll company to shake up the industry like MGA did back in the day . I'm honestly over RH , SH & basically any MGA items currently .
The shelves here are TOTALLY full of rainbow high dolls and they are just absolutely sitting. When the dolls used to come out, collectors were in every store buying one of every doll.
I think MGAs problem why they were losing money is because they made TOO MANY. Like they did with the Kylie dolls. They had to sell a good portion at a discount which was a loss to them. If they made a good amount, but not soooo many that they were on the shelves for months and months and then sent to discount stores they would have made a profit while also being innovative and high quality. That’s what Rh was known for and they threw it away!
I just hope they keep Poppy at least in the animated series. It's sad to see that it started with gorgeous dolls of quality with craft details that were amazing to this. The SH dolls were perfection, and so were RH dolls. Now, MGA uses the excuse of focusing on being more fitted for the younger audience, to hide that they just want to save money for their pockets and choose to downgrade the quality of the dolls. To think that they're planning on maintaining the slime dolls that were not even that great and keep the slime pets too ? It's sad honestly.
Thing is with RH that many don't realize is that MGA underpriced G1 dolls so they had to dumb them down for G2. MGA likely regret not turning the rainbow surprise girls into G2 right away. That would have made a lot more sense and it was what RH was fated for but we got G1 and it will always be remembered as the most legendary doll line in herstory so let's love them & cherish them. With SH maybe coming to G2 I feel dolls like Karla might get re-released cus she's pink and maybe Luna too for story reasons but I can't see most SH students returning and if we do get new ones they'll be very childish looking and pastel: Light blues, purples and especially pinks. We likely still won't have an orange or yellow SH doll cus those colours don't sell very well but who knows Clementine existing shocked me cus I know Poppy doesn't sell so maybe we will get an orange or yellow SH doll. One can only hope. If we get grayscale dolls they'll either be white skinned with colours mixed in or Luna's 3rd doll but even that I doubt and honestly Luna doesn't need a third doll because It's not like it'll compare to her current two anyways. Once we start getting more leaks we'll know if this is all true or not. My prediction for the brand is that it'll end at some point between 2025-2027. G2 is not sustainable: Collectors are losing interest in needing to rebody every doll and redress most of them, always having the same face sculpt and non vibrant make up, annoying gimmicks and an awful show. I don't think kids' love for them will save them TBH.
That seems very much like it. Buyers use the G1 as a benchmark for what can be produced for a certain price tag without taking into account what the dolls should actually have cost. In addition, many buyers tend to buy when on discount. While they can buy more dolls this way they also send a wrong message to the producer. Adult doll collector are infamous for being cheap - unfortunately. It happens to Barbie and it now happens to Rainbow High.
I, personally, don't mind this news at all. Less stuff for me to buy. I haven't bought a Rainbow High doll in roughly a year. I'm good. Sucks, but nothing lasts forever.
I remember I got into rainbow high in 2020-2021 and I was so obsessed, i was 11 then and I'm almost 14 now. I hate how they're making them so childish looking that's not the point of the brand its supposed to be dramatic and good looking, they're throwing such a good brand into the trash and its so sad to see. this isn't the rainbow i've learned to love and admire, this is so mediocre.
I really wished they would’ve just given us the Color Create and the Glitter legs dolls then fell off the face of the Earth. What they are doing is a complete antithesis to what they made a standard.
These all seem like lies. Idk how the articulation was that expensive when they were doing it just a year prior , after covid. They just want to cut costs for THEM. Not us. They don’t care about adult collectors anymore. They haven’t released any new collector dolls since Lily. 😕 Also, “Poppy didn’t sell well” my ssa! That butterfly poppy was the most popular one! She flew off the shelves it was hard to find her after the first few weeks.
I only really cared about the show because I couldn’t really afford the dolls but even the show is like the dolls I hate the singing in every episode 😭😭😭
I think EVERY doll company is trying to get rid of adult collectors. But honestly people just don’t really buy that many dolls or toys for their kids because either kids don’t want it or they don’t want them to be “spoiled” by having too much stuff. 😢
I do not know what is worse.. Poppy being cancelled, the permanently loss of wrist articulation or that shadow high will be produced so cheap in the future 😖 so happy that I got to collect a few old shadow ones when I was able to
This sounds like hogwash to me. Would wrist articulation alone force them to raise the price of the dolls to $40-$50? Mattel was able to produce G3 MH dolls with wrist articulation, and some of them cost only $25-$30!
I saw people arguing on Reddit that they're expensive because of the insert eyes and lashes...funny how MGA was doing fine when they had wrist articulation but okay lol
Not a doll collector, but at this point, I'm so done with MGA & just either focus on Barbie or doll brands that bring you comfort instead of disappointment.
Sad how Poppy is being removed from RH. She’s an amazing character! How could MGA remove Orange? The rainbow is not complete without Poppy or Orange! We need Poppy back :( Also would love the return of SH! If they won’t have the wrist articulation or new outfits. Idc because I just want to complete my Series 1 collection already. So maybe they will get a re-release? Maybe!?
@@PeachYReviews19 facts! Just because Poppy didn’t sell well doesn’t mean they should cancel her entirely. MGA is really like: “you know what? Poppy didn’t sell well. We might as well cancel her” and now that everyone is asking for Poppy again even though she didn’t sell well. Meanwhile MGA is like: “now people are begging for us to add Poppy back? Hahaha sorry not gonna happen :)”
Because kids grow up faster this days .. i think that dolls just for kids are bad. It will not sell and make this dolls for smaller kids. They dont really care if its a 45 dollar doll or one for 10.
I hope that this is only speculation because, as a Shadow fan, this is DEVASTATING, and to say that I am intensely disappointed would be an understatement. Shadow High is my comfort doll line, and it means everything to me, and my favorite dolls of all time and my personal comfort dolls, the Storm Twins, are in that line! Part of me was hoping for Shadow High to return someday, but in its original glory, edginess, attention to detail, and with it's original articulation, NOT LIKE THIS! I guess I will be buying as many SH duplicates as I can because Shadow High is amazing, and its incredible legacy must be preserved at all costs! Poppy not coming back is also absolutely horrific and disrespectful on so many levels. First, MGA didn't make a slime doll for her, and she has been mysteriously excluded from the RH Rebrand in doll form ever since. So, word of advice: Keep your Poppy dolls, take good care of them, and don't ever use them for customizing. As for the information about RH being aimed at kids now, that isn't surprising to me, but it's intensely disappointing that they aren't aiming the dolls at adult collectors anymore. But I intensely hope that this is only speculation and doesn't turn out to be as devastating as it seems! LONG LIVE SHADOW HIGH AND LONG LIVE RAINBOW HIGH!🖤💜😔😭
Some of the most depressing things I've ever heard about dolls. This totally sucks and all my dreams for the resurrection of the once fabulous dolls has ended :( :( RIP SH and RH dolls :(
I was honestly having hope that Bratz will re-emerge as a fashion forward doll brand, but after the shitty meangirls drop, that has soured for me too. Atm I mainly collect monster high, but they do lack that trendy fashion aspect for me (they're more character focused after all). So I've been dabbling in asian fashion dolls lately, because they still have some really fashionable brands, but sadly these are all collector level/pricing. I just hope something will fill the RH gap in the playline market.
I discovered RH when I was on Amazon, shopping for MH dolls. That was this summer. I was delighted and ended up with 10 dolls. It's sad that they're going the route they've chosen. I love my small collection and continue to collect MH. I'm glad I got the dolls I really love. I won't be buying any of their new dolls. Oh well!
Dang I really loved when they were coming out with new characters and the awesome outfits and oh my goodness the details….i bought the sparkle and shine dolls, because they were new characters and they had really cute faces but I wish they would’ve been all one color like shadow high… that would’ve been so much better 😅but I don’t like the same characters over and over again….or the lack of Articulation. articulation
Goodbye Poppy dolls, welcome back Shadow High. Your telling me that Shadow High gets to return, and Poppy is still in the show, but with her dolls MGA doesn't include her in the line just because she "didn't sell well"?! The f*ck? It's giving "I'm giving up and not gonna try again". I refuse to believe these rumors, because my Rainbow High collection is small, and I really want the dolls that came before the reboot, and buying the dolls that aren't available where I live would be really expensive 😭💔
I to me that reasoning for removing the wrist joint is totally bs because MGA has other doll line’s with the joints and they don’t cost that price. Also adults buying doll for children or themselves/ other adults are actually the majority of sales, not children actually buy them. This doll brand is going the way of poopsie surprise… I think it won’t be long if they keep up at this rate and lack of quality really does matter.
I'm suspicious about the whole "too expensive" reasoning. How can something that directly made the brand such a hit not be worth the production costs? Seems fishy to me.
Even Rainbow High in the states stated becoming expensive which is why they cut the second fashions towards the end of the soft reboot. It’s the fashion and the articulation that adds onto it. I will never forget the day Rainbow High was getting money hungry, but if this is why they started charging $30-&50 then I understand. Honestly a huge turn off, this is why Rainbow High didn’t sell in my area(s). They sold really well when they first came out but around pacific coast we started seeing them become expensive almost overnight.
They also should not be adding a resin aspect to a kids toy. Resin is so fukn toxic, and can cause serious medical issues. If not used properly it will essentially "infect" everything around it..... and of course a child is not going to understand proper resin use safety, because most adults don't understand it (aka the make it mini fiasco)
I only obsessed with rainbow high. I don’t buy any other toy brands. I haven’t Bought a new doll since the reboot and I’ve been holding on to them even just releasing collector dolls for older fans least but if this is it, I’m done. And it’s sad. I even watched the show constantly and I stopped. I kinda wish they’d just kill it off. This is so depressing to see. It’s lost its magic and spark. Also let’s be real, kids want iPads. Us adults are more than half of their marker, u ignore half of ur market, it’s not going to do well. It’s only a matter of time.
With the success of Mattel Creations and also because MGA is going more kid-centric and gimmicky with Rainbow High, however RH and SH are popular with adult collectors, I don't know why MGA hasn't come out with something similar. Some kind of MGA creations thing will not only let them put out special dolls geared towards adult collectors, perhaps on a pre-order basis, but I'm sure their creative teams would love having a space to really play with these characters. ALSO, they could do a pre-order for the OMG Fierce Candylicious and Kitty K. I'm still upset they didn't release those! They were SO good!!! Lol
@@PeachYReviews19 gobbled up and turned into glitter slime. the girls will have to seek vengeance with the power of friendship and sparkles of whatever.
I'm so upset about this :( So what they are essentially saying if all this is true is, "We don't care about all of our loyal adult fans" "And too bad for you guys" :( :(
Wrist articulation cost seems sus. I also collect Monster High and ily 4ever and Wicked and they doesn't generally cost that much. I'd say ily 4ever very high quality and the cost $30 to $25. There's even $20 budget ily that have full articulation.
Now I’m personally not a doll collector. But I find the rumor that Poppy’s doll is being retired is very weird because she’s part of the main cast. It isn’t a rainbow without her. Some questions that I have are: How much longer will this Rainbow World Arc last? How many copies did the Rainbow High: Runway Rush Video game sell? Lastly, will there be a sequel to Runway Rush now that there’s more characters?
I would take this with a LARGE grain of salt. This sort of information wouldn't be allowed to be public, if someone was informed of this, they would have been forced to sign an NDA
The newest monster high budget dolls still have wrist articulation on a $15 msrp doll! So this rep was LYING to justify CHEAPING OUT the dolls! Yeah that’s why I couldn’t ever FIND Poppy
Although I would very seldom grab a monster high at antique malls but Shadow High and the RH line that came out around that time awakened the hard-core doll collector I am today. These dolls have so much power potential to revolutionize doll market yet they forget
People let get online and be nice we tell company in one voice no not buying current RH and would rather have old line back instead. Two, tell them other company start make coming back slow, but out blue start bring in bacon.
See I think because MGA has gotten sued lately The quality is gonna go down a lot more so they can Try to make some money they’ve lost. But I mean on the other hand, the other products are seem to be doing well.
Wow, RIP Poppy. I never bought any Poppy dolls so maybe I'm part of the problem, but I was just waiting for the right Poppy to come along. Same with Violet. RIP wrist and thigh joints too. I won't totally dismiss the new kiddie dolls until I see them. I really liked Rosetta, so if I can get more kawaii styles I'm here for it.
Looks like these rumors are probably true. I think I might not buy anymore RH sadly. Im glad the kids seem to like it all it just hasn’t been for me as of late 🫤
Yessss gurl I was waiting for this video 🙏 I love your videos Edit: also I thought poppy made a lot of money lol , glad I just bought some poppy dolls. Also don't they realize adults are the ones who buy them for kids as well 😢
funny, mga. but april fools was 6 months ago. ykw they might as well retire the other girls cause now it’s not even a rainbow anymore lmao. red yellow green blue purple PINK and RAINBOW but not orange???
I am not surprised about the production cost. I always wondered how they could sell Shadow High dolls as playline dolls (and RH too but to me SH really look like collector dolls more than playline) and for about the same price as other playline. G3 MH in the coffins are more expensive than SH dolls here in Europe. It is kind of crazy to me.
😒. I have about twenty dolls from the first three years. When the slime dolls and giltter in the legs dolls came out - I quit collecting. I have the original Poppy and the Runway, and I have little sister. 😒 😥 Why can Monster High afford the wrist joints at an affordable price? 😲
I am so disappointed in the direction that Rainbow High has gone, The reboot killed this line. There are so many doll lines for kids already, and I feell kids were happy with the original doll line. I don't really see myself collecting RH anymore which is unfortunate. They're losing a lot of doll collectors, so sad.
Idk maybe they'd sell better if they paced themselves more and gave people what they wanted and not spit in the faces of fans. Doll franchises always seem to go through the same vicious cycle and it makes me sad. Barbie seems to be the only one that knows what it's doing and has stuck it out for so long
We went to the LA one, and it seemed like no one knew about it.. it seems like they did all the promotion in NY, and we just got a what ever left over, but I was able to get some extra clothes for my daughter. Wanted to do a playdate with her cousins, so now I have extra for the kids to design. 😅😊
So we say “playline quality “ but that’s what they were before. They’re readjusting what it means to be playline quality for their doll line. And honestly, I’d rather them shelf the series, instead of run it into the ground with cheap substitutions. I lost all my hope in this brand after I saw their new line coming up, where some dolls have plastic molded skirts. I’d rather them let shadow high be, instead of subjecting them to this quality change that’s not good at all. They’re talking about wrist articulation making the dolls more expensive to produce, and I can see that, but not to the point of making them 40$. Because not even a year ago, the wrist articulation didn’t make them cost 40$. And Barbie does it quite frequently on 20$ dolls, and same with bratz. So I’m calling bs to that. Production wise, it means less people will be complaining about broken or missing hands. And since clearly they’re targeting these dolls now to small kids, killing off their collector and tween buyers, and they probably can’t deal with small fragile parts like that. It’s just a shame in all honesty. The brand helped rejuvenate the doll market that Mattel and hasbro made so cheap and undesirable that you’d rather get a blind bag than buy a fashion doll. The fact instead of them getting their flowers, they get to be made into a monster high g2 2.0, is a shame. I think they’re trying to target bratz to the tween and collectors. And they’re hoping that the customers will just transition to that brand and leave this brand to the kids. But they’re taking too long to release new bratz items. And there’s nothing pushing bratz in our face. I know they’re probably reluctant to do so, as it didn’t work in 2015. But I do think this new era of bratz are getting a lot of things right, just not the time it’s taken to get a new line. I’d liked to have seen them come out with fashion packs, so you can keep playing with the doll you have, while they take a minute to release new dolls. But again, this is about rainbow high. And imo they killed something special I saw in the brand. And it doesn’t make me wanna purchase any new ones.
It's a good thing I don't want too many more RH dolls. I have bought some of the new reboot dolls. The slim and sand gimmic is stupid. I tossed the sand dress that came with my bella doll. That was only one that I liked out of the winter line Good thing ebay is a thing. 😊 I'm just gonna play it by ear at this point. Ok. I'm gonna get a bunch of hate, but I like the glitters legs. Sorry for the ramblings. 😅
I think at the end of the day adult collectors were picking up cheaper, less quality dolls, and MGA made a switch to save money. And it worked out in their favor because the collectors are still buying the current rainbow dolls. At the end of the day the majority community didn’t even understand or know the brands that were being replicated. They just wanted colorful dolls at cheap price. Not a fashion doll at descent price.
Still hard to believe their name is "Rainbow " High & no orange. Like, so don't make as many ? I don't know, maybe it wasn't worth it, but Amaya did better ? Ooookaaaay.
I bought Slime Sunny and one Watercolor and Create which I told myself I wasn't going to buy reboot dolls but they were on a big sale. That being said the dolls do not feel cheap in the hand (like nice weight) which is great. I think the watercolor and create are in many ways better than the original CC dolls because they have different outfits. As for the slime girls and the winter ones I can't bring myself to buy anymore because their clothing is so random and childish to me. If I liked tacky childish clothing I would collect playline Barbie instead. Also I think they should retire not just Poppy but the entire Series 1 girls, they are so tired and overdone. I love SH but I don't want to see them kiddy-fied . I hope that's just a rumor and they never come back. EVER.
after stumbling over older controversy about sexualising children, their decisions start to feel more reasonable to me I wish they could also see the win with adult collectors and maybe do a collector line but not like extra expensive extra dolls (just the amount it needs to give us quality back) but more of a spin off for adult fans with less but regular releases but yeah, since I don’t collect collect for a long time already I still have some Shadow High dolls to catch up and when I do feel something of the new stuff speaks to me I would get it too. Like Rosetta, she’s the only doll I have from the new dolls so far and she’s a real gem for me and I‘m so happy to have her❤ I just hope MGA is doing well and we adult collectors will get a little treat now and then. It feels a little sad seeing all this after they proved what they can do, I think Rainbow/ Shadow High is probably one of the when not the best contemporary playline when it comes to quality and value.
Alternate Title: " In Memoriam...." basically 😞 On the plus-ish side, my 3 girls decided they hate ALL dolls after the Rainbow High reboot. So my pockets sang a new tune! Good thing ol' faithful ( Mattel) is still rocking 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Shadow High...if they make them good like Clemetine & Rosetta & the new leaks we've seen of new line...maybe they'll be ok. I wasn't big fan of the sparkle legs, & of course articulation, but did like Clemetine & Rosetta dolls. Clemetine was sort of grunge.
I'm really sad where this doll line is heading and see no hope for this at all. I love rainbow high when I first discovered it 2 years ago, and now I just don't get excited. The quality just dipped, they disrespect poppy so hard, and they are abandoning us hardcore fans for these infants, babies with these pets slime gimmich. Very sad, maybe a new doll line would interest me more
I hope they put more stock of the runway version of Poppy, because as you say in the video it is very difficult to get it, and in Spain the only ones left are in the stores closest to me. The only ones available and the ones I have seen and have yet to get are Sunny, Violet and Amaya, but I am trying to get Poppy and she won't go below €90 even if she is second hand.
Why can’t you all see the real reason behind these decisions? It’s probably in line with Mattel’s drop in quality. It’s not about "oh, production costs are too high," that was never the real reason. It’s all about maximizing profit while investing as little as possible. They could keep doing things the way they have, but if lowering quality and reducing investment increases their profit margins... they're going to do it. The only way to stop these practices is by not buying their stuff and forcing companies to change their policies.
I don't know if this is related to the new demographic, but a lot of the new dolls have had flats instead of heels, like with Sparkle and Shine dolls. Why do they all have flats?? It reminds me of when fashionistas started giving every doll flats, but that was because they were for an everyday look. Rainbow High is leaning into the fantasy route, so I don't get it
