Discover one of Scotland’s most evocative prehistoric sites - the exceptional remains of an ancient cemetery, set on a terrace above the River Nairn just outside the city of Inverness.
The Highlands of Scotland are shrouded in myths and stories of ancient guardians who protect the sacred sites and burial mounds of our dead ancestors. The area surrounding Inverness is particularly rich in legend, haunted history, and supernatural tales. The folklore surrounding the Loch Ness Monster is known throughout the world however sites like this are less known but even more intriguing as solid proof exists here and remnants of a distant past lay scattered on its grounds. The site leaves you with a sense of presence and a real tangible feeling that you're exploring an extremely important part of human history. It is an incredible tale worth telling.
Thanks for watching! :)

Good video. Very well documented. I was there today. (30th March 24) I noticed the road running along side the site seemed to pass through the stone circle of the southwest cairn. Either that or the road was there 1st and the accient people stratigically placed the stones across the road.. (doubt it) Either way interesting place.

Loved your video, used to live in Inverness and visited the cairns a lot. Always felt someone was watching every time I walked round also you can hear a quiet hum from the stones. Quartz in ancient times meant enlightenment and can be used in meditation. I think ancient people knew a lot more than we do now. Great channel ❤

I agree mate, they certainly seem to have acknowledged something that we don’t really incorporate into our modern lives today. That’s why I make the videos to try bring light to stuff like this and show people sites that otherwise, they might not be aware of. Thanks for comment mate, means the world 🙂

Hundreds if not thousands, it was used by many different generations of tribes for millennia.

@@sentientscrollexpedition Your accent is not 'in the way'! You're fine as is! People should get used to your accent over time, their ears need to change - not you 🙂👍👏 This native of North Carolina mountains & a US American of Scots-Irish and other origins says people need to become more sophisticated in being able to hear, not have everything handed to them on a silver platter. Time to expand our minds, gain sophisticated ways of taking in what we hear, exercise ourselves... not make everyone else adjust our narrowness! 😅 LOVE YOUR VIDEO! (my favorite TV show of all time is Hamish McBeth 😁)
