Ok, I just re-watched this after watching The Call of Calypso. I was confused how these two stories fit together and whether or not one wasn’t cannon… until the end: “What’s the REAL story?” THERE! The Cursed Crew is the story Calypso tells people, but The Call of Calypso is the “real” story! At least, that’s my theory.😁🧡

I think it's very cool how she incorporated mythology into this. the sea witch called calypso's ship "the fallen titan" and the curse happened on an island, like the one calypso (in greek mythology) was stranded upon.

I’m so exited, I was so sad she didn’t post anything yesterday on her shorts but I saw this and I’m so exited to see what Cae and her imagination brought to life to entertain and inspire us even if going through rough times 👇🏼Cae Lovers!

I knew that they would be part of the crew! This was AMAZING, Cae! I found myself as engaged in the story as the children. I ABSOLUTELY want a part 2 to Calypso's story!

Oh. My. God. This is sooooo good. The transition from the simple bartender to Calypso, which she announced by naming her partner, is extremely smooth. And the makeups and disguises are gorgeous ! I was really there, in the tavern, listening to a tale like a 7-years-old, and the little kids are adorable. You tell your tale so well!

She's really amazing 👏 she can act a strong and independent captain who protects, she can act as a witch of the seas, she can act a curios child and she can act a kind waitress.... truly a best actor and a story teller. I wish she can be casted in a fantasy movie very soon ❤ love her every short and videos and thank you Cae 😊

I’m so excited to see this! Unfortunately when artists are good at their jobs it looks easy irregardless of how much time and effort was put in. But … if you told the story the way you wanted to tell it then it’s successful and definitely worth it irrespective of anyone else opinion. This is gonna be so good!

This is amazing Cae. I love how your imagination reminds me of my own. I love to create backstories for characters and make small stories in my head about them! Sometimes they turn into stories I continue on for nights at a time others not so much sometime I fell like I should write them down but never do. I will say some of my characters end up pretty similar but I love them all the same.

The only thing Cae would need now is where the kids grow up and go hunting for Calypso and her crew and find the sea witch and kill the sea witch to free Calypso. Because this IS A GOOD STORY and would need to be a series!

THIS WAS SO GOOD! I REALLY HOPE THERE IS MORE! THIS STORY IS TRULY AMAZING. Kudos to you for putting so much time and effort into it. I can't wait for a part 2! Until then here is my head cannon: ~ So it is true that Callypso and her crew were good pirates that swore to protect the sea, until they heard about a mysterious area of the sea which ships failed to cross. So Calypso and her new found crew set sail to discover what was stopping the ships from returning. After months of search they found the area of sea which didn't show on any map, an area that we now call the Bermuda triangle. When they got close they realized that part of the sea was engulfed in a tick mist. The brave crew set sail throw the mist and found an island just like any other. They decided to stay for the week, and that is when they found the sword, hidden there by the gods so the fates would guide someone with a pure heart to retrieve it when the time was right. But when they set sail after the respective period of time without noticing any strange activity and deciding they must go back on shore and maybe return to solve the mystery later as they realized their food and water resources were getting low, they realized that regardless the direction they went they always ended up back at the cursed island. They have been stuck on the island for what seemed like weeks and their food and water ratios were gone so they had to eat fruits and plants from the cursed island. What they didn't know was that was going to be their doom as those fruits were magical. The next day as they tried leaving the island again the crew found a way out... a way that they haven't seen there before. Thinking Poseidon took pity on them they went on their way back to their city to realize they have been missing for years and their loved ones were mostly gone or old. The city was also now terrorized by an evil witch, so the pirates set sail again to murder the sorcerer. They ended up on the island in the video, and confronted the magician but right as the witch was on her last breath, after Calypso had slain her the witch said her last spell, a curse to the crew, that the moment the ship would leave the island they would all be bound to it for the rest of eternity. The pirates set sail rather cautious but instead of being bound to their ships they ended up like the semi-corpses in the video. Just as the crew started panicking the witch's soul appeared in front of them as a ghost. "YOU FOOLS!" the sorcerer laughed! "You ate the forbidden fruits from the cursed island! They would have killed in a few days if it weren't for my spell! But now" the witch chuckled maliciously "your fate is much worse than I could have ever made it! You are bound to this form by night and will become humans by day. You will be sailing by night and working by day, without any rest! No one will remember you and you will live in agony for eternity!" And with that the witch vanished leaving the crew to its bewitched fate. ~ If anyone wishes to continue this write it in the replies bellow. This has been a fun writing exercise and I would love to see if anyone has any idea for a continuation. ( ;

I have an an idea Story time ! People say that pirates are not real but actually pirates are scary and evil and sometimes (rarely) kind people , calypso was one of them , her parents too , but they died for an unknown reason, calypso really wanted to know what happened so she traveled and traveled to find the reason , then one day when she was sailing, there was a tiny boat , an old woman was there , she thought she'd help , took her on the ship and started asking her questions she asked her about her parents , the old woman said she was friends with her mother , but then she just disappeared without a reason , but little did she know... Calypso went to sleep , and then she heard some sounds , she went to check it and found the old woman being a young one she was using magic but she wasn't kind, she was an evil witch calypso took out her sword and then the old woman shattered her sword using magic and told her : you are my daughter , your father wanted to k!ll me , little did he know that I knew how to use magic so I used it on him and locked him in a dark island . And now I've finally found you my daughter, would you like to work with me ? Calypso agreed and her mom put on magic but she can only haunt at full moon after midnight and one day she found the love of her life and she told him her secret and asked him if he'd like to work with her He agreed The end And idk more I ran out of ideas

There once was a girl named collypso (i don't know how to spell it 😂) she always hid in the shadows of the town but one day she went to a bar and asked for a job the manager named elise elise said: said yes on one condition if she went on the 7 sea's too look for her husband Who had been taken by pirates, collypso said yes elise gave her a ship and a crew the ship was kinda weird but collypso ignored it and went over the 7 sea's anyways little did she know that elise tricked her she was a bad bad monster she wasn't even the manager there collypso found a weird eisland where there was black sand and flowers that glow in the dark she saw a an tied to a tree and said help i wan't my wife elise she found him but when he was loose his face started to droop and glow but collypso didn't see that and the man attacked collypso and ate her till there was nothing left not a single drop of blood was left the man turned into elise and she ate everyone else and she said :'arise as my night crew arise !!!the crew arised and then they stepped on the weird ship and elise said :'collypso yku are the capten (sorry i am only ten and dutch so it is kind of hard to spell) and evry midnigt to eiland looking for more crew and it get's bigger and bigger the end this took two days to finish 10 year old girl writes a horror story ilove you can you pleaee yuse this as your'e next story or pin it please

You have now made me obsessed with pirates and she shanties (again) but seriously this shows powerful women and good storytelling and I am OBSESSED with Calyso. I cant even tell you how many times i have watched this and every time i am entrapped by awe and my eyes sparkle like a little girl watching a Disney movie. Still no matter how many times i watch this i never loose my awe or how much i enjoy this (it NEVER gets boring). Plus your voice is so soothing I realize this is an odd thing to say but your voice just helps me to calm me -- especially in this video.
