This is so shagadelic man. Something tells me you could have made a small fortune with these in the 70's.😂😂😂 Neat looking piece man. Out of sight and dyn-o-mite!
Well, now I'm invested in this conversation. @tonyneal910, @jackmackwoodturning would like to know if you are a product of the 70s. (Unless he was was saying, "Tony are *these* a product of the 70s?" *these* being this type of lamp. There seems to be a word missing). I have questions. I need answers 😆
That turned out to be absolutely stunning! I didn't think it would be as transparent as it turned out, but it's phenomenal! Well done, beautiful piece of work! Hats off to you!
@@JackMackWoodturning Probably around 9 minutes in or so when you were working on the base. I first thought it was some kind of bowl, but when the base/stand started taking shape, I figured it was 'maybe' a lamp. Again, wonderful!
I HAD NO CLUE IT WOULD BE A MUSHROOM UNTIL HE PUT THE PIECES TOGETHER. This is very beautiful, the wood and the pom poms and everything going together and just everything about it. I really love it, keep doing what you do!
Very creative! What I like about your videos is - you just create, no chatting, which some people enjoy, and so do I most of the time, but you just create and allow us to watch along as you express your thoughts through actions. Happy Turning - Lowell
😮❤❤❤ what a beautiful and creative way to make a lamp unbelievable it’s gorgeous never would’ve thought that a bunch of little pom-poms would’ve turned into something that beautiful. I love it.❤❤😊😊😊
This was my first woodturning video I’ve ever watched. Curiosity got me because those darn colorful pom poms kept popping up on my feed, finally I just had to know what you were going to do with them. So glad I did! That was awesome 👍🏼
Amazing.. iv got like 200 other videos for you on my channel .. go get yourself stuck right in. If you liked this one you’ll loose your mind at some of my others 🤣 Happy to have you on board recruit 🤙🏻
It’s fascinating that someone can make a living and gain a following with nothing other than a lathe and lathe skills. Good on ya, I hope the world doesn’t get bored of bowls, lamps and trinkets. I worked with my dad as a teen and had to turn more than 100 balustrades for wooden stairs in a 3 story house - sanding and steel wool and a sleeve that got pulled in are memories I’ll never forget.
I make a living from my Woodturning business and have done for 23 years. These videos are on the said of my normal activities. I turn around 4,000 bowl per year for wholesale stockists. It is nice to make a little extra income from these videos. But this stuff won’t last forever. 🤙🏻
@@JackMackWoodturningI know I am not OP, but I will answer that question. I would def have it in my home I don't have what you would call a "decor" necessarily, just a conglomeration of things I like and things that😢😢 are interesting and/or thought provoking. Conversation starters so to speak. Among other things like beauty, time required, skill, etc, this piece is a definate conversation starter. Tell somebody that it's fluffy craft balls and watch the conversation flow........
So...this is pretty much the best thing ever, according to my inner child. It brings me so much joy. Thank you for creating it, and sharing it with us!
I had no idea it was going to be a lamp till nearly the end of the video and WOW what a wonderful surprise. It was like a multi coloured mushroom. Love it.👌
Is this your business? Or do you have a separate webpage? I would very much like to commission a bowl instead of a lamp done the same way with the same materials. Is that possible?!
Cracking piece of epoxy/wood turning, never saw you once measure anything and it fit together like a dream. Your psychedelic customer will love his psilocybin shroom lamp for his next trip man✌️
The wood grain patterns in those pieces of wood were stunningly beautiful. I actually loved the coloring of the last piece of wood (main body of the lamp) before you added the stain. ❤
I use these with my granddaughter on a craft day. Never imagined they could make such a beautiful light. Wasn’t sure where you were going here. Thought a colourful bowl but wow, so much more. A great job and any child would love the lights this lamp must create. I’d love to see it switched on.
I don’t watch nicks videos but the ones I have flicked through in the past make me think he’s probably done it.. But knowing nick… he’ll nick any idea, so if he’s not done it yet he’ll do it after watching this. 🤣
So beautiful, golden hands, you must be able to come up with something like this, it means that person's head works very well, God bless you, and there are many more such wonderful works
