I was just watching your videos yesterday. Nice to have you back! Edit: 33:25 As a native spanish speaker I can tell you that's a very good translation, the only mistake is that the last bit is referring to the NES games in general that released in that time and not just Kirby's Adventure
Glad to be back! More stuff is on its way, so stay tuned! EDIT: Oh god, I knew I got the end wrong, lmao. In my notes for the translation, I highlighted that part and put "???" Because I wasn't 100% sure lol, thanks for the additional context!
My reasoning comes down to the fact that Kirby games are often pretty incongruent in terms of what enemies grant what abilities. For instance, why does Mr. Tick Tock give Kirby the Mike ability? Similarly, why don't the basic bird enemies give Kirby the Wing ability while Birdon does? A Mace is similar enough to a Hammer in the simplest possible manner, a large object suspended by a smaller shaft that's used to bash things, to where I could see in a very pedantic way it could potentially give Kirby Hammer. Not to mention that we don't actually see if the early Mace Knight used a Mace, so it's really just a toss-up.
The bit about people mistaking Kirby for a ghost reminds me of when I was younger, I thought that the Boos in Super Mario World looked like a pack of evil Kirbys. (Edit) BTW, does anyone else think it's strange that they replaced the turtle mini boss with an elephant one in the GBA remake/remaster?
