It was a fun video to watch and work on! I'm so glad we're able to restore so many stuff despite my pretty low level of modding skills when it comes to hex editing and other stuff.
As far as I know, there's not much interesting stuff outside of Beta Yagami, his movesets and a lot of Judgment prototype shit in K2 files. You can find information about this stuff on The Cutting Room Floor
Really appreciate the vid. Its really cool to see cut stuff in this series, its usually not documented (at least not that Ive seen), so please do more on whichever games you can :) Cant wait to see part 2 for Kenzan, the promo character vids were badass (Ito's my boy!)
yknow from the footage of kenzan here as background footage, im seeing a lot of the enemies blocking a lot, blocking immediately after getting their blocks broken, and pitiful damage...
It's dependent on your level and weapon. A lot of the background footage I use in this video is from extremely early in the game with base weapons, so enemies block more often. The higher your level is, the more damage you do, while the better your sword quality is, the less enemies block. When you finally get a good sword enemies block about as much as they do in Yakuza 0, which is to say barely at all. You can see some of this in the combat demonstration video I have on my channel 👍
I would like to see more unused stuff. I hope you guys will investigate the files of Yakuza 3 and 4. These cut content videos are always interesting to see "What could have been" Also there's not many videos on RU-vid with this subject. You found a hole in the market.
Damn I love Kenzan so fucking much, you’re absolutely based for showing off all of these interesting things that didn’t make it into the final game. It’s always great to see cut content being re-implemented into a game even if with partial functionality. I couldn’t find any info on Kenzan cut content online (not even in Japanese) so I can’t thank you enough for this video. I absolutely love Kenzan to death it’s probably my favourite yakuza game (also the first one I played :p), can’t wait for part 2!
It's so cool to see cut content resurface from these Yakuza games. I hope to see the same happen for 3-5, but I'm also curious if it's possible to look for cut content in the two PS2 games.
