This is Charlie's most popular video. He is currently missing. He left us on the 14 January through a window my son did not know was open.
Please share to all your New Zealand North Island friends, to keep an ear and eye out for our Charlie. We miss him terribly :(
Update 12/02/2018
Sadly we have not had Charlie return to us. We can only hope in this Summer weather that he is somewhere safe. Otherwise we knew he had a grand time while he was with us.
It was either wait 12 months for the new season to search for another bird, or find a new baby from this season which is nearly over. So we searched a for a new baby and found a perfect new family member. I can't wait to share a video soon.
Thank you to everyone for all the kind messages. It has meant so much :)

Mine actually sneezes sometimes. Then he shakes his head and is really confused for a few minutes. Its the cutest thing ever.

My cockatiel will preen himself and all the dust he lets loose during his preening will sometimes cause him to sneeze. "My cockatiel sneezes occasionally. That's not a normal bodily function and is instead a life threatening disease." Rolling my eyes right now.

My bird just laughs with you some of the time, then once he learned how to laugh, he just laughs AT us. Like when my mum messes up a whistle, he laughs.

My Cockatiel Moritz flew away a few years ago. We never found him, but in the newspaper was a photo of him on a security guards head. I miss him. So much.

I'm so sorry you lost your bird. My pet cockatiel was found in a brush, and it was clear that someone had lost him, We searched all over and could never find his owner. We took him in, rescued him, and he became part of our family. He had many long years with us, and he became my best bud. I hope that Charlie found a home, or was Lucky enough to find someone who loved him! Wishing you all the best.

As a fellow bird parent. I know the troubles of a feathered love one escaping. My parkeet had flown away once. We managed to get her back in six hours. Here are some tips, hopefully they help. First put his cage outside. Maybe he'll see it. When you go out looking, if you have another bird. Put in in a carrier. They will call out for their friend.(Its how I got Blizzard back) Go out looking as often as you can. If he had any favorite foods or was recalled trained at all. Try that out too. Good luck with finding your baby boy.

Thank you for your tips, we sat under trees in 30 degree Celsius heat for 4 hours two Sundays ago. Until finally he flew south. We are rural and it was one huge flight path for him. His cage was out for four days until some bad weather hit. We have contacted the local papers and they have done a story, his story is also on our social media news website and Facebook. We have driven and walked our closest areas although there is a huge mountain range south from us :/ We are just hoping that he finds someone, and they recognise him.

Hopefully This bird stays in new zealand. Otherwise I will find a way to get the world looking for him... My cat ran away one day... turns out someone found him all the way in canada... I of course drove 18 hours in all to see him. and hes here today
