you think I'm cute? ....DOMAIN EXPANSION. toga's character is SO tragic (as are all the villains, but I especially have a soft spot for her since she's so young.) the voice work from uraraka was incredible this episode - I read an interview where she talks about breaking down during the recording of these lines. so so so good. only one more week! Out of all the fights in the manga, i never expected this one to be one of the most beautiful and emotional episodes. The voice actors and the artists really gave this one their all.

This episode was peak. Every week they up themselves for real. Voice acting in this episode was one of the most incredible things I've heard in a while and the music was absolutely incredible, I was in awe the whole time.

Toga's been my second favorite character ever since my villain academia and I felt soooo happy finally seeing this fight animated!! I cried reading it in the manga and I cried again today, I can't believe how emotional this whole storyline makes me 😭😭😭

I honestly wasn't invested in this storyline until I read these chapters. Horokoshi wrote this with so much heart, as he does with so much of his story. Uraraka did something simple yet profound. Instead of judging or ridiculing or trying to change Toga, she listened to her. That's true heroism and a powerful life lesson.

Man just Ochaco making Toga feel human again. The way in she saw Toga as a little girl in her mind but she saw herself as a monster in her own mind until finally feeling like a little girl again getting told she's cute and her smile is beautiful like she's always wanted

Toga might be the best conceptualized character in mha. She was never evil, but her quirk gave her an affinity for blood. Just like how you might be moved by a song to tears, tasting blood is like a symphony for her. Its easy to simply write her actions off as deviant and make no effort to understand her, and thats exactly what drove her to becoming cold and closed off. The way that she was written so that the reader would make the same judgements, before discovering she is just a regular girl in her heart, is just beautifully done.

Ochaco vs Toga finale was done right. I understand fans being disappointed that Ochaco doesn’t do much in the story. But I’m happy that she gets her own arc in this fight, her own personal fight without the protagonists help and gets a reasonable awakening in her power. Ochaco’s awakening is well done and written. The final episode is going to the best fight in the entire Final War for me. Please Bones take inspiration from Sukuna vs Mahoraga and go hard on our man All Might vs AFO final round. Please cook Bones.

Alright, I'll be honest. I still don't really know what Toga and Ochaco's story is here. I understand that Toga is just different and she's not accepted by anyone which is why she's having a hard time, but I don't understand why Ochaco is trying to relate/accept her. She literally kills and sucks blood and we're supposed to empathize with her? Plus even though I agree that this episode was beautiful it pulled me out of the immersion because this whole thing was legit Ochaco trying to have a girl talk with Toga.

Its supposed to give a little bit of parallel imagery with Deku and Shiggy's encounter where its not all just surface level "haha i'm evil" villans. They have complex backgrounds that shaped them into who they are. Its also emphasizing that being a hero doesn't just mean "beat the bad guy" but saving everyone they CAN. Uraraka saw the crying child inside Toga similarly to how deku see's crying Shiggy. The last few episodes have also been showing the heart and redemption of some previous villains as well. I think I'm just yapping at this point but hope it made sense to some degree

@@gamingmyst6968 Hey!! to add onto the other comment on this thread, the toga/ochako storyline is also a narrative on the inherent issues with hero society as it stands, and with people who have deemed “villainous” quirks being shunned by society - it doesn’t detract from the fact that yes, the LOV has killed people and done horrible things - but it’s a wider example of “reaching out a hand” and empathizing with people who are different from you, or have quirks that don’t make sense/are scary. toga is misunderstood which led her down the path she took, and she isn’t without fault (because we all have free will)… but would things be different if someone HELPED toga understand her quirk, and utilize it to help people? the narrative points to yes, probably!

This is NOT a criticism of the Ochako/Toga story line at all, but I did not go into this episode thinking that this scene would be the one to get me to cry the most in this show. Like damn I've teared up before; last episode, Deku vs Bakugou, Deku vs Muscular and a good deal of other times but this episode just had me tearing up the entire second half. The voice acting, art direction, animation, music all amazing. Two back to back amazing episodes giving both Toya and Toga a proper send off.
