The CZ52 Redux and Redo 

I inherited a CZ-52 After my brother passed away at the beginning of the year. The stamp on the side of the gun is stamped CZ-53. The gun is in amazing shape, but I’m having a couple of issues with it cycling properly. Thanks for the video. It was very enjoyable, interesting.😳😏😬😀

Fantastic video. It's hard to find folks that are genuinely enthused about this handgun, much less those that are well versed in anything beyond the Wikipedia page.

Harrington Products makes a vastly improved firing pin & rollers for the CZ-52..both hardened to US specs. Never dry fire the pistol with the original firing pin. I like the CZ-52.

I have seen the 9mm barrels for the CZ52 but the 9mm Largo was a surprise. I actually was pretty fond of that round until they became almost impossible to find. I recently parted with a Star 9mm Largo 1911 that I really enjoyed shooting but honestly just got tired of hunting for ammo. I might have kept the old gun if the ammo was a little more readily available

I found the video ....."interesting". but it does make me think of GOLDENEYE. our favorite KGB agent in new Russia carried one of these. another great video.

I just picked up a CZ 52 at an estate sale and it had a extra barrel 🤔. Come to find out it was a 9MM barrel. It needed a new spring the cocker spring.. so i sent it off to HARRINGTON PRODUCTS for the new firing pin ,extractor and rollers. I should get it back after a 2 month wait and i bet it will work great both 9MM and the 7.62x25 round. THANKS for showing. I subed ya too.

With that voice you should be doing voice-over work. I enjoyed this video. I agree, controlling the gun when fired is surprisingly easy. I can feel the power of the round, but controlling muzzle flip is a lot easier than I was expecting. I haven't fired a lot of handguns, but so far this one is the most fun. Yes, Hogue still makes the wood grips, but I got mine earlier this year from Grips4U. It makes the gun look classy. I know a few guys who are much greater into the gun hobby than I am, and for a much longer time, but when I showed them pics of my CZ-52 they said "What the hell is that?" I don't have a lot of guns. I have 2 for carrying, and then I have a few that I just appreciate for historical value and unusualness (Unusualness...*Copyright 2023) such as the CZ-52. I was immediately enamored with the gun when I saw it and knew I had to have one. I subbed to go through your other videos of intriguing firearms. I find I am more interested in the old and historical firearms than the new ones. I have what I need, so I look at what is interesting.

The shoulder holster might have been a tanker/pilot style rig. 🤔 I remember a book on counter terrorism talking about how the CZ 52 being the REAL High Power, describing an incident where the round cut through an assassination victim and the floor and a table and embedded in the next floor down. Of course I liked the round immensely. I was 14 or 15.

I am currently in the process of replacing the slide catch pin with the one you mentioned on your modernized example. The original is only staked in place. It was probably just a matter of time, but mine started to not lock back on the last round and I diagnosed that it is because my pin walks out. Haven't decided if I want an extended slide release because I really like the classic look without it, but time will tell.

The ejection pattern became erratic. Sometimes this means it is just barely getting them out of there.

The first handgun i bought not long ago because i thought it looked cool paid 350 + 3 original mags mine is apparently one of the ones refurbished in the 70s but lacks the mark those usually got

Gee, if you only knew someone who has the machining skills to make new baseplates for the magazines.

By the way, I seem to remember that those shoulder rigs were for vehicle drivers. But Where I read that eludes me. Janes Infantry weapons publication maybe ?

Word of the day was interesting and I have as long as I can remember loved the 7.62 Tok but I prefer,38 super to the 9 mm in any guise I know its the same dia as the 9s but its uniquely American And on a side note the star BM line are excellent pistols wish I still had them

I have trained myself not to release slide by the thumb pressing the slide stop. I alway pull back the slide and then release it. The CZ52 always rapped my knuckles for some reason. I am strongly thinking about selling mine and glad you brought up the topic to remind me.

I think I paid 85 for my first CZ. I have 4 now and more ammo than I can carry in a wheelbarrow for them. Change out the firing pin, extractor, pick up some hardened rollers and it should be good for 100,000 rounds of 7.62x25mm. Which superior to either the 9mm and .45aarp.

Here is you an interesting comment . 7.62x25 brass + .30 plastic sabot + 5.56 green tip freedom seed = Holy-Hell ! It is a very hard to stop screamer that feeds great.

The 52's you have in this video are the best metal finished 52's I've ever seen. Most of them I've encountered in the past (many, many at gun shops and shows) have the worst metal machining and metal finishing I've ever seen on a production military pistol. Most have so many rough milling marks that they really appear to have been carved out with a dull pocket knife rather than actually machined. It's odd to me as all other CZ military and commercial mlodels have decent - excellent machining with few milling marks evident
