There's also an interview Dahvie and Jayy did where they talked about how cool it was that most of their fans were younger because they were the nicest and most loyal at that age, something along those lines. Of course I doubt Jayy meant anything by it, BUT the fact that it was acknowledged then and Dahvie still wanted to say later on that his music was geared towards 18+? The scene style as a WHOLE wasn't an adult thing, literally nothing about it was adult-like other than the lyrics. His appeal was geared toward younger kids and teens and there's no denying it.

I've been to multiple concerts, even 3 day shows where everyone gets shitfaced, not once have I seen any artists ask for bras ffs?!? But those artists have morals and I'm sure plenty of groupies of age, they don't target children and I've never once seen the artists ask females younger than their 20's on their tour buses. I was asked by a roadie for Uncle Kracker to come chill with them and I turned them down. I was 25 and NOT a groupie lol!

When I was 15 years old (2012) I went to go see BOTDF with a friend of mine (also 15). We got to the show super early, basically first ones there, and we saw them pull up and load their gear into the venue so we asked them if we could take a picture with them, totally fangirling at this point. A couple minutes later dahvie comes back out to talk to us and asks us if we know any place to eat in the area, we said we didn’t but there was a target nearby and he asked if we wanted to go with him. We literally got into their tour van and drove with him to target and hung out for about an hour. Nothing excessive happened (aside from a bunch of sexual jokes no adult man should be saying to underage girls) but now all this information is popping up and it honestly makes me sick to my stomach how naive we were and how willingly he was to take advantage of our innocence. At that point we were kids and were star struck and didn’t know any better, I’m just glad that nothing bad happened... my heart goes out to all his victims

When I was 14, I was gonna go to one of his shows, but I got sick. I’m glad I didn’t go and meet him, I wouldn’t want to be assaulted or worse. I know if 12-17 year old me had the opportunity to meet any of those bands, both male and female adults could have got away with a ton of arrestable offences and no one would have believed me too, despite none of their lyrics or musical styles being SO OBVIOUSLY aimed at little girls, like BOTDF. Even though the age of consent in that state is 17, it was still nonconsensual and he forced her to perform a sexual act on him. He knew what he was doing and he knows it wasn't consensual. How could someone consent when they just met and within minutes he's lured her to a secluded area and forced himself onto her? He did not even ask or discuss this with her beforehand. As someone who was Underaged when I got married at 15 years old to a 24 yr old. Let me tell you NO we were NOT consenting Adults. I had NO idea what I was getting into! All I knew was he had the Biggest influence on my life. I'd never had attention like that before in my life! While also Ruining my life. I was used, abused, & taught to be a Play thingy for him. Yes I have proof. Statue of limitations does nothing in this State especially when it's been almost 15 years. And I was pregnant at 16 with a child that I had NO idea how to care for. It was to trap me in that relationship. So I know from experience that humans are Not mature or consenting as a minor or even at 18 yr old.
3:34 How does one "fail a rape kit?" The girl said she was so disgusted she swished her mouth with coke wanting that stuff out of her mouth not realizing she was washing away evidence. However, she also provided a t-shirt she cleaned up with that the police didn't even bother to test. Also police don't "prove your innocence" that's not how the justice system works. I am a nurse we take saliva which is included in a rape investigation and not sticking up for him but cola does not wash away semen.. We would find the DNA within the saliva.. The bullying and eating disorder was what caused alot of my own daughters issues. She committed suicide on December 31 2019. She wss 20 and she shot herself in the chest. She was into the emo movement. This makes me very sad as a mom. Im 45 and a Type o Negative and Dax Riggs fan so my daughter was into these type of scenes. This girl Piper that I knew in high school had been featured in a couple of their music videos and also had boasted about being involved with him at 15. No one believed her back then and she ended up having a really hard time with it. One day she said she no longer was associated with him and never mentioned it again.

I went to that BOTDF tour with Jeffree when I was 13(Seattle) It’s funny I’m seeing all this now... after the show I was getting merch and Dahvie was at the booth, as it’s about my turn he comes over to me and starts saying how beautiful I am and getting very friendly. I was excited because here’s this guy in a band that I loved complimenting me(remind you I’m 13 he’s in his late 20s) Then he asked me if he could give me a kiss. It kinda made me feel weird but I went for it thinking he was going to kiss me on the cheek and he straight up kisses me on the lips. I remember feeling dirty, very turned off and walking away confused. My best friend saw the whole thing, we talked about it for years and pretty much stoped listening to them right after that. Seeing all of this with my experience he is an absolute creep. At that same show tho Jeffree grabbed my head and shoved it in his crotch while he was on stage(I was in the crowd in the very front of the stage) and he grabbed my hand and put it on his junk during that performance multiple times, I was not trying to grope him.I was also very obviously underage. He’s a creep too.

You NEED to come forward to have this man stopped. If not enough people come forward, perhaps he may get off the hook and be a repeat offender. It will also help you clear your burden, and have closure. This is especially important for when you get even older, and the weight can get heavy, and with the addition life’s problems, it’s not healthy weight. I’m a victim of abuse for two years, to a much older man, similar to this and I wish there was a way I could’ve prosecuted. Now it’s too late for me. Our society is built to cater to predators. There’s no training - they just use the system already in place that doesn’t believe victims and is happy to call people liars.
When I saw that everything everything with Dahvie was coming to light in 2020 and people were surprised, I kinda had this moment of confusion. Being alternative in BOTDF's hayday, people knew about the stuff he did and the Jessi Slaughter case. Dahvie was known to block every single person who confronted him and it became like a badge of honor to be blocked by him. In 2014, I remember a girl 2 years below me at school saying that she was obsessed with Dahvie and when we confronted her about the fact that he's a r*pist she said "I want to be r*ped by him" and went around saying it to everyone. I'll say this, there was a predatory undertone in much of the emo/scene scene back then. And that's not me justifying Dahvie, or anyone else's actions, I'm saying that because that's why I surprised that anyone was shocked by the revelation. If we take a look at Internet "celebrities" from back in the early 2010s, we find a pattern of predatory behaviour- Dahvie, Austin Jones, VeeOneEye, Onision. There were a lot of older guys in the scene where I'm from that were the "heads" of an all ages friendship group that would prey on the alternative girls with self confidence and mental health issues. It was guys 16+ "dating" 11-13 year olds. I first found Edwin though Onision. Onision collabed with Cyr and so did Edwin and that's how I found the SexyEdwin channel. If someone had told me in 2014 that everyone would hate Onision and that Edwin would become the voice of reason in a cesspit of legal troubles, I'd have been very confused. And I'm not sure how it happened but I'm glad that Edwin didn't end up in the wrong side of everything that happened
@Just Me Dahvie was a very polarising character back in the day. He had a lot of people who knew that he was an issue but he also had people who were too in gravitated to him by the idea that they could be noticed and made to feel of worth by a "celebrity" that they supported him whole heartedly. People were horrendous to Jessi Slaughter and she was only 12 but people were telling her to harm herself and that they're going to harm her.

I see a lot of comments like “where were their parents??” & I think what you have to remember is most of this happened in like 2009-2012. It was a LOT different back then. I grew up in a relatively small town (population of like 3,000) & was allowed to walk around the entire town with my friends unattended at age 10. 90% of people I went to school with was allowed to do the same thing. It was just a different world back then.
At that age I wasn’t allowed to do ANYTHING alone or walk anywhere but I’m also from Phoenix where it’s frankly not as safe to and there was a lot of construction in my area, and I absolutely would NOT have been allowed to go to a show. I think part of it was the fact that the internet was so different- I knew not to let my parents know I was listening to BOTDF and I knew how to be sneaky. The internet was newer and parents knew less about it. I could definitely see my friends with less controlling parents than me being able to go bc their parents didn’t fact check anything or monitor their internet use- I think nowadays with parents knowing how to use the internet and an increase in cancel culture (both a good and bad thing- in dahvie’s case- good) this is a lot less likely to happen nowadays
2009-2012 I was out of high school and wasn't allowed to go to events like this because I was a minor until 2011. I could walk around my town alone and pretty much do whatever, but a concert hell no. That was just irresponsible parenting to let any minor attend these events without a parent or guardian.
I grew up in the 2010's in a small town too, I only went around places if I were at my cousin's house as they were allowed to. But as for my household being alone is a mega hell no.
Wow at 19:13. I never knew Jefree star said that. I literally just ordered my first product from JS yesterday. I’m so heartbroken and angry to give him my business. Anyone who makes fun of special needs people are absolutely repulsive. I will be returning my lip glosses. I remember JS vaguely from MySpace but didn’t pay attention to him till Shane’s video series and I thought wow this guy rebranded himself and changed but seeing how he lies a lot and inserts himself in all drama makes me feel so dumb and easily fooled. I also hate Trisha Paytas and Shane is a big supporter of her too. Makes me question Shane honestly. Who you keep around as your company saids a lot about you.
Sucks to hear him say that from my end too. I was never a fan, but I have a younger brother who was into that whole genre who has autism, he'd be hurt to hear those words from someone he likes.
You must remember that this was long ago and he was young. He have since then apologized numerous times and I think people have to forgive and know that we all make mistakes and try to learn and grow from it. I have ADHD and my son to and we of all should know that tings can be said in the moment when young without thinking. But that doesn't mean that we should hold that against them 10 years later.
Erika Böndergaard In this day and age (not 10 yrs later but right now), he is claiming he never saw Dahvie commit any sexual crimes against underage girls when there are videos showing Jeffery witnessing Dahvie sexually harassing underage girls. He doesn’t deserve forgiveness when he’s intentionally defending a child predator, just so he doesn’t look like the bad guy and people don’t see him as somebody who witnessed predatory behaviour and did nothing to stop it. He hasn’t learned from his mistakes if he continues lying despite evidence proving otherwise.
There are videos of him saying the n word too. He’s vile. He also named his first makeup brand “lipstick nazi” and promoted the brand by posing with swaztikas and self harm wounds that were apparently real.
I remember a friend and I used to like a few of their songs when we were like 13/14 and then we heard some of the rumours and were freaked and stopped listening it was so known about his behaviours I don’t know how nothing happened
Unless people report it and submit their evidence to LEO, they dont know/follow it due to people saying things every day. There are at least 2 open FBI cases currently being investigated
I went to one of his shows back in 2010 in Virginia Beach, Jeffrey star was there the whole crew and their was lots and lots of underage girls. He legit was all over everyone he ate that shit up like candy!! He’s such a liar if he said he didn’t know girls are underage , he was pretty much in the crowd meeting everyone after the show was over.

Back when I went through my emo phase, I didn’t dare give this band a more than a second to listen to their music. I was really questioning life that is that what the emo kids jam to? This ain’t it. Then I proceeded to listen to my daily My Chemical Romance.
most likely not. when i was younger and into alternative bands id beg my mom to let me go with my friends and often times we'd be the first ones in line by ourselves for hours(like 8 hours+ sometimes). very dangerous and wish i wouldn't have been allowed to in hindsight.
@@JMiN___ ya'll need more attentive parents. I just turned 20 and my mom would've never let me go to a concert like BOTDF when I was 10-15 years old. So irresponsible on the parent's end.
Scene and emo were REALLY edgy. It was forced in every aspect of the style. Not saying it was by any means okay but a lot of us didnt know how wrong it was...we were just kids who wanted to be unique, and have fun and many of our parents just didnt care to get involved. The music was absolute garbage and that's why its genre didnt last. I think most parents were just trying to make their tortured sad emo kids happy by letting them have these things. At the start of the scene social media was also really new. I think since then most parents have really learned of the damage over the years. Sexism and assault run deep in rock genres and is often time overlooked because of groupie culture. I miss the style like hell but it's a good thing this all died out.
Yeah what parent would pay for such shitty music? Korn was the first band I saw live. I was maybe 12-13 I also saw Slipknot, tool, cradle of filth, etc at a very young age I never felt anything other than safe at these events
When he says “when I was asking for bras onstage, I was asking them from mature, older women, I wasn’t asking them from teenagers” I got a flashback to the Blaire White/Onision debate where Greg just kept saying he likes underdeveloped women, but then backtracked and said “I like a variety of mature women. Just because they’re not developed doesn’t mean they’re not mature.” I would say this guy is worse than Greg, but both are pieces of absolute garbage who should be in prison. I don’t know, I don’t get the hype for Dahvie. I was part of the MySpace 2006/07 scene cringe, but even my group of friends did not like BOTDF. The music is trash. And that’s coming from someone who unironically listened to BrokeNCYDE and Millionaires for a while. Lol
