Man, that is so freaking awesome. When you took it off the hook, and we get to see all those picks stuck to it, like we see in so many photos, my heart skipped a beat. The naysayers will cry up and down, that you shouldn't pay for this and that, and the Eddie Trunks of the world will scream and shout 'these bands don't want to meet you, stop paying for Meet & Greets', but I say screw it. When you belong to something. Like really BELONG to something. And have spent your entire life enjoying a band, or movie, etc... YOU DESERVE IT. Those pics of you at the Meet & Greet, and of you with wearing the (standard) mirror version....are freaking phenomenal. Very cool he signed both sides. Man, that purple is BEAUTIFUL! Great video. Thank you so much for sharing this. Take care.
The other guitar I was inspecting was the rhinestone version. I was leaning towards the classic standard mirror version but I have to give credit to Keith Leroux for talking me into the Purple one. It's a much rarer model with only 500 made I believe. Yes the whole thing was crazy expensive but I wouldn't take it back if I could. Those two nights were so magical and I was 7 years old again and the ultimate way to say goodbye to a band that meant so much to me. Totally worth it.
@@malfuncsean Sweet! I didn't notice it was the Rhinestone...but yes, that purple is so beautiful. My buddies and I flew from KC to MSG for our EOTR show. It's the ultimate concert. Everything you want from a KISS show, in one nice little explosive box. LOL. Love your work man. Have a good weekend.
@@malfuncsean Clearly Paul really liked that purple version too, as he used it for 13 songs. He usually only plays these guitars for one song towards the end of the set.
@@oh-totoro Well that particular night I was the only guy that got the guitar experience so he didn’t have to play other guitars that night. I got lucky.
This is so cool! What an experience this must have been! Also, nice riff! Kiss was the first band that got me really into good music! I wish I could see them live..
I look forward to your videos every evening after my shift. It's sitdown, supper and the latest @malfuncsean video! Keep it going with this awesome content Sean 🤘
Finally! Really damn cool video. I love how you thought ahead and had him sign the front and back. I would have just been too shy to ask him to sign the front and the back. Awesome footage too. Thanks for sharing.
I was really nervous the signature would look like crap because of the cracks and it doesn't distort it a bit but wasn't that bad. Glad I made that call.
New subscriber. I’m a Huge KISS (and horror) fan. Your horror collection is amazing. I started watching your stuff on the Halloween movies, props, etc. Then noticed KISS stuff in the background. Very cool!!! Looking forward to diving into more of your videos. 🤘🏻😛
You did it again...another great video. I'm surprised you didn't have him sign it saying I played this for you and date it. doesnt matter you got a great peice. congradulations
A show use Paul Stanley guitar, that's insane! I used to work at the Sahara Hotel in Vegas and got to meet the band at the KISS Convention in 1995. Super intimate setting, garb from Destroyer forward and a freakin 33 song set list. That purple Ibanez is absolutely killer! ⚡🤟⚡
Aimless Adventures I was at the first official KISS Convention in LA when Peter Criss showed up and performed with them for the first time since 1979. It was magical.
great story. great guitar. when paul said do you mind if i play it during the show i mightve been tempted to say “as long as you dont smash it at the end of rock n roll all nite” 😃
As a guitar player, I don’t know how to play any KISS songs - all the way through. If I had that guitar....I’d learn every KISS song played that night. That’s guitar’s a gem 💎. I’d learn all the songs on the PAUL solo album too. Great snag 😛🍺
I like your video, but I dont get it, that was your guitar, you bought it and bring it into the show so he can sign it ? Or you bought it in the show from his collection? I love this guitar specially this color. Congrats for this beauty.
It's his guitar now. Paul Stanley has a few guitars each show that he'll play for a song or two and then he gives it to whoever buys the super duper meet and greet package ($$$$$).
Wow !!! This guitar is priceless !! a real treasure !! What did you pay for it? It was definitely very, very expensive! Nevertheless this thing is an absolute MUST HAVE !! I get really jealous !!
I'm doing my best to do as many as I can as quickly as I can but the perfectionist in me doesn't want to do them poorly. Plus at the same time I'm going through years of old video footage to upload other content too and I can't do both at that pace.
Ibanez PS2CM Paul Stanley signature model with Purple Cracked Mirror top finish. The guitar boasts a mahogany "Iceman" body, Seymour Duncan '59 and Custom 5 humbuckers, a custom shaped maple neck with bound ebony fingerboard, Quik Change classic tailpiece with Gibraltar bridge, and abalone/pearl appointments.
