Mavs finally played like the Mavs. Taking more 3s, getting to the paint. Playing elite defense which was for sure not there in the first 2 games. Less mistakes from the starters. This is who Mavs really are, an efficient and dangerous team.
The problem is, they might have figured them out too late. 3 more potential games for Boston to change up their strategy and it only needs to work once.

biggest difference was the other mavs were hitting their shots... most mavs players in earlier games passed up open shots because they were too scared or were in their heads from missing a couple of times.
The tables were completely turned in Game 4. It was a good game, and honestly, I was happy that they didn't get swept. I hope the Mavs can continue to have good defense like this in game 5. W Mavs!! 🔥🐴
Honestly if you consider the 22-2 run in game 3 I think the Mavs have figured something out. Still a *very* long road to even make it a competitive series, but the last 5 quarters the Mavs have outsourced the Celtics 105-151
One thing I've learned from watching Luka is that he consistently does things never done or seen before in the NBA. You can say the same for his time in Europe. There's a first time for everything.
Has seriously noone noticed that this game Tatum was complaining to the refs literally non-stop, every possession? Watch the game, after every drive, successful or not, he raises his hands and looks at the refs for not blowing the whistle. Every time.
All the Mavericks have to do is upset Boston, at home, in game 5 and the series is as good as theirs, in my eyes. They win in game 5 then it's back to Dallas for what I would hope is at least 50% of the performance they put up in game 4, then they're onto game 7 which, if they can make it that far; I'd bet my house the Mavs would pull off the upset. From Boston's history of poor clutch time performaces and Luka and Kyrie being some of the clutchest players in the league. I really hope the Mavs can pull it together for game 5 and make this a series.

The mavs has a glimmer of hope to resuscitate chances and make a historical comeback. However, realistically it is tough for them to defeat the Celtics 4 games in a row but may be desperation can galvanize them into action.
No Porzingis caught up to the C’s the Mavs dominated the paint…. I don’t care what history says if the Mavs win game 5 it’s interesting 🤔. That’s a big if though.
What bothers me so much about last night is knowing that the Mav's have had that in them the whole time. Games 1-3 should not have all been losses. Mav's not just at their best, even at their average, would of kept the series closer. Not trying to hate on the Celtics, but I truly feel the Mav's beat themselves a couple times.
Lively, PJ, THJ and Maxi should shoot 3's in Game-5, I was shocked to see THJ shooting those back to back 3's in 4th Quarter. Hope that continues in Game -5.
When Tim hardaway gets hot it’s a sight to behold lol. Funny he was the 3rd leading scorer for Dallas and I don’t think he’s played but a couple minutes the entire series before this game
@@di114n2 yeah that’s the thing with THJ, he’s super streaky. But I always think that if he can just go on a heater the Mavs just get so much better and harder to stop offensively but you can never rely on THJ to always show up
This is the Mavs I saw throughout this postseason. If this is the mavs for 3 more games I can see them making this comeback. If not, they getting spanked in Boston. The Celtics are not gonna be this bad every game too
Reverse sweep gonna be mission impossible for the Mavs, but it would be funny tbh 😂, if Mavs win game 5 on the road then they have a legit chance. Don’t wanna stay too optimistic though
Yea I’m taking the approach that it’s exciting to get at least one more game in the finals to cheer on the Mavs. Not considering it a possibility going into game 5, but if we somehow win that, which I don’t think we will, then I’ll start believing.

I do sure hope the Mavs play defense and offense like they did in game 4 though, but hey (I’m a Nuggets fan) you should still be proud of your season even if the worst happens with the Celtics, you broke the clippers curse and your defeated the No 1 seed and gentlemen swept the no 1 defensive team and “the next MJ”.
Ay if the Celtics could win 3 straight and we beat them by 40 points then we can win 3 straight. Its gonna be tough. And still super unrealistic. But its very probable they extend this series to 6-7 games
@@Swish2430 they needed to play like this from game 1 , this is what they are capable of! Now they made things hard for themselves, luckily though they do have someone on the mavs team that has come back from a 3-1 deficit and won the championship.
Hoestly the thing you see is confidence and no hesitation, they were truly aggressive and actuve the whole game, thats what they lacked, even if they get a bid of bad luck on game 5, bad luck wont put you down 48points if you okay the correct form
Not the same. No team has ever come back from down 3, which is what the Mavs were going into Game 4. Teams coming back from 3-1 got their win before going down 3.
I believe Mavs will extend. They needed this win to get them going but no one saw this coming. I believe as long as the effort on defense is there like game 4, they play with pace not letting Boston get their defense set, and make their shots…this could quickly turn into a series for the ages
Celtics are without KP and it will be a factor for the rest of the series. I'm not saying Mavs in 7 but I wouldn't be surprised if the Mavs the next 2 games.
Well, if they come out like they did in game 4 and make the defense adjustments on the fly I’m sure there’s going to be some tweaking by the Celtics. This game was all about better defense. There was some shots by GUYS you would not have expected but come on They played better defense. For three straight games they were getting wide-open looks from the three point line. A lot of them uncontested because ball rotation was so good. In game, four almost all the shots were contested.. It comes down to good footwork and not finding yourself tripping on your own feet because you got juked out of your shorts.. I am a LIFE LONG MAVERICK fan and it doesn’t matter where they win or lose, I’m gonna ride that horse all the way to the end. Go MAVERICKS !!!
Luka alone is a million times better than Tatum and Brown combined. Then you have clutch and explosive Kyrie and the Celtics who are known to choke a lot, will definitely be the first team in the NBA to lose a 3-0 lead.
I think the Celtics will go into game 5 giving it absolutely everything (and I doubt KP plays) so if the Mavs can just keep up the defensive intensity they've had these last 5 quarters, there's a legit chance they win, which would make the Celts start to panic and fold.
I don't want to believe the reverse sweep and be delusional, but all my brain cells are convincing me to say it, so if Mavs can win game 6, I can see it happening for the 1st time in NBA history to comeback from a 3-0 deficit
Logically, Boston will end the series in game 5! HOWEVER, it’s worth noting that Dallas HAS WON every game 5 in the playoffs so far. If last night’s Dallas shows up Monday, we might have a 7 game series.
Mavs played well but got some help too, 0:58 a foul call before a contact even. Foster killed the game right from the start. Btw the whole team clicked and hid the fact that Luka playing D equals 0 out of 8 3PT.
I mean maybe they got some fouls and got away with some on defense but it’s been that way for the Celtics all series long. Every game the Celtics were given significantly more leeway to foul and play physical but that was never the case for the Mavs until this game

I’m a mavs fan, and I’ve noticed luka needs a target to play like the goat, someone like book or ant to light a fire in him.. I don’t think they’re going to win.. the Boston team seem pretty humble.. and right now luka honestly seems like the most annoying player on the court

The only difference in this game was their role players actually hitting shots they got the same fuxking look in every game this series they jus made shots, this is Boston 3 game in a row playing bad like this the only difference was the mavs capitalize on it where they couldn’t do before bc no one was making shots but luka and kyrie
The Celtics weren't trying and the Mavs felt no pressure. Everyone was resigned to fate. I am pulling for the Mavs but only expect there to be one more game.
