Mr Vanian is a bit of a different character outside The Damned. I've seen him on News at Ten in a Savile Row suit and immaculately presented. He's a top man, articulate and holds an intelligent conversation.
I had no idea that song "The Witch" by Rosetta Stone was a cover. It was really interesting hearing all of these older songs that Dave & the band were influenced by. You can definitely hear the influences in certain songs/albums. He also sounds like a really nice, interesting guy... a plus ;-)
Wow! Odd coincidence that the first track is 'the Witch' by the Rattles. That tune came up in my 'suggestions' on youtube last night and I loved it right away...because of the good screaming vocals and the strings! Love ya, Dave!
I remember in the eighties at a few gigs the theme from Haloween was the intro music, I love the chord progressions of this piece, I have it sequenced and some of the transpositions are even better
I never understood why anyone thought he was sexy (Brian always had my punk heart) but his taste in music, these songs, his love of Nuggets, it makes him very sexy.
Brian James is VERY handsome, I agree! I guess people fall the Brit accent, suave voice and whatnot...I like Dave all right but if this guy was a scumbag beating up women, you bet he'd still have girls throwing themselves on him. A certain contingent of his fans are serious morons.
@@Vampire_Nightshade Think you've been living under a rock. And the majority of his wannabe stalkers/groupies all happen to be frumpy, unattractive boilers who are sex-starved. They all gobble the SURFACE, appearance side of things, they are seduced by the flamboyant (Gothic) look, let's get real here.
@@Vampire_Nightshade Disgusted is more like it. He had to put several restraining orders of a few people, do you know that? And some of these stalkers/boilers comment on the RU-vid videos, there's nothing funny or cute about this - the pathological liars, the social-climbers, the invasion of privacy. These people RUIN everything for the rest of the DECENT people.
Ironically, I always thought Dave looked quite a lot like Arnie from 'Christine' once he's gone evil, and then the soundtrack pops up on his track list here.
