1998-2003, when surfaced one of my favorite movements in music. It was not mainstream but it was accessible to the masses for a moment. It was melodic, had simple hooks, strumming lo-fi guitars, not over driven, witty lyrics, actual songs, ...a short lived romance that was gone like a flash n the pan. Similarly, 1979-83, there was that brief revival of 60s velvet undergroundish minimal but cool melody driven simplicity. So sweet. Both periods had a short life.
What a touch! Typical American tourist, on Portabello Road. Looking for an authentic London experience, so he sorted the bill out for some real ‘Cockney’s’. I trust, like real Londoners, you took liberties. And you all had real lovely evening, ensuring the bond between England & America, was safe in your hands, that night!!!
The look on Brent's face when Courtney is saying that ...Girls... is on Earth. You can actually see Brent's eyes as he is doing the math on the track listing for the albums, and realizing it doesn't quite add up. Classic.
Woohoo! First to comment and I'm London! Better say something good!.......I'll get back to you. Anybody who hasn't read Jonesy's book, bloody well should!
ive heard good things about this band)DW's), no i wouldnt want to live in a serial killer place, no thanks.Courtney could be a Macdonald brother ya know Redd Kross.
i agree, their last good album was Earth To The Dandy Warhols, their music has just been awful since then...besides their song STYGOO off of Distortland. I feel like The Dandy Warhols should retire
