Well all i noticed is that few drive from Udi Axis are very very lonely and you can only see few cars but in all the roads are not too bad, thank you Eboh for taking time off to do this drive.
a very beautiful video do a playlists about travels in all roads of africa i enjoy too much the travels also know many diferent places of all the world i from peru a remote place for you god bless you and congratulations thanks alot.
This road is definitely dangerous as vehicles are also travelling in opposite direction on what is meant to be a dual carriageway, you have pedestrians walking by the side of the road, there are sand banks on the road side and the central reservation. Most bizarrely is when the carriageway go through a village spilling into two with no road signs or warning. Eboh Gee, this a very good quality video with beautiful drone shot.
@@cheekwiz lolz but it is getting attention, old Enugu - Awka road has been rebuilt.. Enugu - PH totally rebuilt (work still ongoing from Aba to PH, other sections completed), New Enugu to Onitsha being worked on.. etc
Hehehe 10 mango fruits for 1000 naira, waoooo that's really kool, that makes one misses home, here just one premature mango cost 1,500 naira or more sometimes....
Men the day pied this road was a free day, not always like this I had once traveled on the road Enugu o Awka for 2 hours because of Trailers blocking the road, Helps to do Enugu 82 Division junction to Awka the Express road without diversion. Good job
Well done guy! you have done a wonderful job here by showing the people in all over abroad how their state roads look like so congratulations once more! Well according to the viewers . The beginning of Enugu state roads are not lage enough and by the roads sides are dirty things . From Enugu out to Anambra state the roundabout of Awka is not good , but the rest of the road is very good and lager enough , that's the type of road in abroad. But still what to see the rest of the roads till Onitsha. It is spectacular views 🙌 👏 miracle roads ✨
9JA driving correct. If you can drive there...you can drive anywhere in this world. You learn to develop eyes on the side and back of your head...lol. Good work Eboh. Takes me back to driving days in 9JA.
Deplorable roads! Made with cheap materials, no street lights, lane markings, or road signs. 3rd world living in a billion dollar country. STAND UP NIGERIANS! VOTE in a YOUNG Nigerian as President in 2023. You deserve better.
I really drives alot along this road back then well not bad except bad drivers who doesn't observed roads connection from that udi to that bending leading to fourcourner
There are 2 main problems with constructed roads let's say around Eastern Region. First, Open Culverts; nobody has found a solution as to why contractors leave it open without slabbing it. Secondly is sand, red earth or mud coming on to the road and reduces the road space, forcing drivers to go I to on-coming traffic.
Absolutely 💯 thankful for your effort to familiarise us with the enugu-awka road. Have enjoyed the Biafran countryside. The drone shot was also a winner 🏆
The road is very lonely. Besides, the junctions close to Road Safety offices/Yard should have had a round about. It is very bad to leave that junction like that. Accident control ,measures should be put in place. It is a far below standard of express Road. A lot of things are just wrong there.
You are right accident do happen there regularly because there is no round about, I expect the FRSC to have talk the the authority concern to put roundabout at that junction.
Eboh, A new subscriber here 😁. I enjoyed your video 📸 very much. I plied that 🛣️ road 6 years ago. It was a better alternative to the 9th mile axis. Keep up with the 👍 good job you're doing.
Nice video , not dangerous by Nigerian standards . However I had palpitations due to certain things 1. Why don’t we have proper markings on Nigerian roads , they use normal paint which lasts a few months at most . 2. Traffic suddenly comes from the opposite direction on a dual carriageway! 3 No lane discipline , linked to no1. 4 . Sudden obstacles , potholes etc Having driven on these roads for more than 20 years , driving in Europe is such a pleasure. People will kill themselves in so many accidents if they suddenly had to drive on these sort of roads here.
Your attitude shows you are already defeated. "Not dangerous by NIGERIAN standards"? That is the problem. Everyone "accepts" the standard and things never change. Vote young (under age 55) for president.
@@autumn_b905 you dey vexoo. I am speaking factually in real time. If you call this road dangerous you have not traveled by road a lot in Nigeria. Nigeria has big problems which led to the increased insecurity. There is not enough time and space here to go into it , if you think it’s a young leader ( like Bello of Kwara) is the solution, then you don’t even have a clue what the underlying problems are.
Good job, this the way to control the government as opposition parties in Nigeria does not know being in opposition is sub government which duty is to control and hold the ruling government accountable for their actions, but let see with social media control, let hope shame will catch the peoples in government to step up and do things properly, Nice video and keep it coming, brother
Ebo am confused, you didn't tell us what part of igboland you are making this road trip on, cuz the road networking is amazing, and I don't know any part of igboland that has such decent road network.
That's a Nigerian Army checkpoint. They use these civilians to extort road users. I use this road very often because the main Expressway has been abandoned by the Federal Government.
It takes a good government to set rules and regulations, and to make sure things are in place to be sure the roads are safe for everyone! Nigeria...you still have a ways to go. 💖
This is a beautiful drive indeed my friend! But why are Igbos complaining there are no federal presence in the east? There are more federal roads in the east than in the west really if you think about it.Apart from lagos lbadan expressway and oshodi apapa expressway there is hardly any federal roads in the west.Lagos benin expressway is for the easterners to get home, portharcout, Aba to enugu expressway in the east,Anambra to enugu has two decent roads, east west road, calabar to ltu highway, enugu Abakaliki highway all in the east.......??? with all the army check points on nigerian highway, how is nigeria different from Ukraine that's at war then?Check points and road blocks should only be used in a state of emergency not during peace time....These people are destroying the roads with drums and tyres just to collect bribes from drivers.Western countries do everything to make sure there are no objects on roads but in nigeria it the police and army government officials that are destroying the roads.God please help nigeria she needs government that can actually govern a nation.Thank you.
@@AgozieAni I don't think @Suntan Glory was dissing the Igbos. If you drive some roads in the Southwest you will see what she means. Oyo-Ogbomoso Rd, I mean, you basically have to say your 'Hail Marys' before getting on that road, and basically keep saying it all the way throughout. This is the old A1 road, Lagos all the way to Niger Republic. It is still the road plied by all the juggernaut trailers speeding down from North to South and vice versa, at least at that Oyo-Ogbomoso section. The express way has been sitting there uncompleted for decades. Other roads I understand are in pretty bad conditions as well, nothing as bad as this road though. So please, let us stop the divisive talks. The Southwest is in the same boat as the Southeast with the government.
Thank you for your video. One thing is glaringly clear: the level of economic activity in the states you've shown is simply dismal. The question is: How do we change this ugly situation? Let's begin to flash out idea! ....
Insecurity is a recent hurdle but the biggest setback is lack of vision. These States have a great potential to cover the area with high yield palm trees that thrive naturally here. Palm oil is a highly priced commodity globally. Where is the ownership of the lands, the cattle and livestock barns etc? These uninhabited terrain can be covered with solar panels and wind turbines. But no! The current crop of politicians are there for money sharing and that’s why it’s hopeless.
The caption was wrong, because I didn't see anything dangerous about the road,I meant to Nigeria context, except for the police and army roads block, and in my observations, Udi and Orji-River supposed to become a "State in Nigeria" the vast landscape is unbelievable, it needs to be developed, same thing as Awgu/ANINRI ,these Areas are supposed to be a State on their own
Stop accepting this as normal. Nigerians deserve better. Have you seen cotonou, Lome or Accra? Their roads are spectacular and they have less resources. Vote wisely in 2023
There is nothing dangerous about this road. I use it at least, once every two months, traveling to my hometown in Anambra from Enugu and returning back to Enugu from my hometown.
It's not dangerous to you because you don't have an option. A road that links cities or state should be dual with a protection in the middle as people travel for long hours there should be room for fatigue.
@@adrienbutler7365 You are very wrong and very presumptive. I have a whole other options to use; there is the expressway and there is also, the old road passing through 9th Mile. It's just an option. So, your assertion that it is not dangerous to me because I have no other option is a figment of your imagination. The road is very smooth & unencumbering unlike other roads where big trucks are constituting nuisance.
@@chudichidume7374 How do I explain to you when you think bare minimum is okay? I'm not here to play fastest finger with you, because I know better I still stand my ground about the road not been safe. That's why I would never come back to Nigeria, the citizens can't even see the dangers and risk. And the painful part is, those suppose to be complaining prefer to make excuses for them because we are selfish. As long as it works for you, you don't care about others and that's what's savaging your country. Some of these roads are older than you and I, and I won't stop talking because I've seen better. The roads are tinny, dirty and dangerous. I've said what I said, come and beat me.
Not dangerous by Nigeria standards right? That's why we would never get better, we don't have a standard if this is our standard. Because were we started from, is way way better that where we are right now and people like you think it's okay. #painfulAF
Oga browse Dubai to Abu Dhabi by road..perhap you'll wake up from sleep and open your eyes sir.. We deserve the best brother, it's unfortunate you guys are so used to hard life in that shithole country😡.
This udi 4 corner axis road is not am easy road because of the bend. The video didn't do justice to it. If you are from south south and travel with that road for the first time my dear you will turn back. Well done sir.
One of the biggest crime in Nigeria is these gutters you build running parallel to the roads. The gutters are literally everywhere. It's very very shameful. Gutter is a chanel not a drainage system, but that's all we know in Nigeria. Our brain has not trained Nigerians to transcend gutters and instead build proper drainage systems. Proper drainage systems are UNDERGROUND PIPES, with collection points strategically located on curbsides of roads. In most Western countries, there are no drainage systems on the HIGHWAYS. The highways are a little bit elevated above ground which allows rainwater to run off instead of accumulating. What you guys have going on in Nigeria is very very pathetic.
With no road work, the road will go bad after 4 years and the next governor will start over. You get the trick now? How many times do I have to tell you Nigeria is not for you.
And the igbos are crying about erosion. Red earth exposed everywhere. Roads with no shoulders taken over by sand. Absolutely no landscaping can be seen on this video. This is characteristic of what could be found in other parts of igboland. Mediocrity everywhere in igboland.
