What does flash flooding actually look like? In our new Immersive Mixed Reality (IMR), we place ourselves in the middle of the action and show the immense dangers of this natural disaster.
When I was younger, there was a flood in my country (I live in Dubai) I was happy because it barely rained and flood was a lot of water but my parents were absolutely terrified, now that I learned the dangers I finally understand why my parents wanted me to stay indoors
This grey circle can withstand ANYTHING, and I mean ANYTHING. 1. Hurricanes 2: Floods 3: Tornadoes 4: Ice storms 5: Ice thickness 6: WildfiresEct. That’s That’s just insane
Pro tip: If you're driving and you drive into a flooded area, DONT STOP. If you stop or even just slow down, the water will flood in through the exhaust and your car will stall. The air coning out of your exhaust while your driving is enough to prevent your engine from flooding. Don't slow down, don't stop, for any reason. If you need to make a turn you'll just have to whip your car around it and hope you make it. (Coming from someone who used to have to drive through a flood zone daily, we've had to drive through waters up to our car windows, but as long as we kept a good pace we were good. We actully drove over a flooded bridge several hundered feet in the air just a couple months ago which was absolutely horrifying but we made it)
@@sprintershepherd4359 Not life or death necessarily, but it's the only road directly out of town, and it's all hills so you can't see down the road at all so you have no idea if it's flooded or not when you go through it.
Last summer was the worst flash flooding I’ve ever seen in my city, it rained super hard and combined with our rivers flooding, I ended up seeing a car submerged and floating in a lower part of the road
I always get so mad at that guy He doesn’t even leave credit either you just have to try your best to find the video Also no one wants to hear this guy narrating over it
NOW people are watching this. I can remember when people called Al Gore a fool. If you live in the west you grew up around floods. I remember seeing these kids that always bullied us floating fast by us with their hands out......my Brother said wave. LMAO. The water receded at the end of the street and they were fine...they went for a ride with the Garbage. Every kid on the block had been harassed by them. BTW If grabbed their hand you would of gone in too.
@@TomTKK Where is your source of information a pickup truck can't float with 2 feet of water moving. I rather trust the weather channel than some random commenter.
This is great animation since Malaysia right now has flash flood, we could not evacuate all people. This is no joke. I have biggest hope that Malaysian could have this animation tu give a clear picture for my country so that we could move to a safer place 😭😭🥺
and for everyone else not around street drugs, just buy Dayquil and Nyquil.. your body will try to sleep and wake up at the same time giving you a high
Wish they play video like these in Japan. Elderly here doesn’t realize how dangerous floods are and wait until the flood gets worse, and miss the chance to escape, causing many deaths.
we cant blame them, they are not familiar these type of disaster japan not a typhoon prone country...a earthquake thou And here in philippines we are not familiar earthquake too. just these past weeks we exp. 3 eq. magnitude 6.4 - 6.6 and many of us "panic for tsunamis", even not gonna happen
This is actually really cool! I'd love to see other videos detailing other natural disasters (like tornados or eathquakes) like this, where you explain what's happening and what's the best thing to do as it happens.
