I am a swedish woman who has been supporting a young man in Ghana. We have twice been applying for visa for him to come and visit me. Neglected. He was invited to Germany to attend an art exhibition, once again denied visa. He is a prisoner in Ghana. I am 82 and too sick to travel myself but would love to once meet him

I know a friend who was refused a visa all because he had know traveling experience meanwhile he had other visa in his passport showing he previously travelled to the Netherlands which obviously tells us they don’t glance through the documents before making final decision
Mexico embassy too will look through your documents and if its original, boom they will issue it for you Mexico Embassy(Ghana) is the easiest and cheapest embassy you can get your visa
Check this. If a country refuses you entry into their country, there is nothing you can do. It's equally thier right too and they dont need to even explain. The only cure to the excess 'bouncing' is to reciprocate same to their citizens or toughen gh visa requirements. My 2 cents
I’ve given invitations to friends who have come to visit. Those who get visas and gets to Europe and then seek political asylum has ruined it for everyone. They don’t believe Ghanaians anymore. Go to Abuja and get the visa at the Swedish embassy.
Yes ! This is why similar procedures for same types of visas are rejected. Especially F1 visas. You may have to prove beyond doubts with better particulars that you will return. They have all records on F1 Status to manage the influx of immigrants.. Good luck
Abuja is just for swedish employment visa. For visit visa they, they will refer you to the Danish embassy in Ghana. They take care of Sweden visit or short term visa for Ghanaians
You people should apply through Norwegian embassy they don’t ask any documents if you have everything intact I live in Sweden I can testify that it does mater if if Schengen it does mater you can apply through any of the Schengen countries

Although you attached an introductory letter to that effect, an additional itinerary of the things you will be doing within the remaining days could suffice. I will advise that you try the German embassy as a tourist since they offer intensive interviews. Equally, you can use theirs to get to your destination. As a country, we need to retaliate against these refusals by bouncing their citizens. As soon as we do this, they will be open for negotiations
Netherlands embassy denied me of Luxembourg Schengen Visa last year December 2023 for similar reason by ticking that column of justification of your intended purpose for visit wasn't stated whiles i stated the purpose of travelling
They refused me in same manner in, the Swedish Embassy should get an embassy in Ghana. The Danish embassy forget them. I did an appeal, if is now they will respond to the appeal I am still waiting.
Bro, check your documentation well, communication alone is not enough to establish a relationship between you and your sister. Mind you that they needed you and your sister's birth certificate establishing the same parents. If you did what I have said, you will surely be approved on the next one. mark my words.
Another observation: Don’t just submit pictures but rather write what we called PHOTO STORIES. If you were at wedding or funerals with your sister, family etc , write a sentence or two about the picture so the visa officer will understand and the relationship with your sister etc
If you don't earn an income of at least GHS12,000 per month in Ghana for over 5 years, you won't have a smooth sailing chance at obtaining a visitor's visa, to the top 12 countries!

The Danish Embassy has issued an executive order to refuse Ghanaians visa to Denmark. And because the Danish embassy In Accra takes care of Sweden, Finland and Iceland applications in Ghana so they will AUTOMATICALLY refuse you. I advise that if u want to visit Denmark, Sweden, Finland or Iceland, apply through another Schengen country and go there. They are refusing visas at the Danish embassy in Accra automatically cos of the executive order. Cos they said GHANA POSES A HIGH RISK OF ILLEGAL MIGRATION TO DENMARK. So please take note, PLEASE dont apply through Denmark. Its online read about the executive order to ban Ghanaians
Dj. The Country called Ghana de3 there’s anything the government doing for us ooooo . Danish embassy has been going this for a very long time and there’s no one talking about it . They will ask you to pay the money online with your debt card then noooo , you still be refused

Because there’s no interview write COVER LETTER explaining the purpose of your visit, duration of stay , family and social ties, and your intention for coming back to your country. Also, if you cannot provide a particular document explain why u couldn’t provide such document and further explain substitute for such document. I realize most Ghanaians apply visas in Ghana without COVER LETTER to their applications.

Hello all, one thing that my little knowledge tells me is that haven travelled to several countries or having an active visa does not necesarily guarantee anything. They look at every application on its own merit. I agree he seems to meet all the requirements but a lot of these decisions are discretionary and the immigrations officer holds a great deal of power in that instance. Another thing is Ghana can not dictate or determine how they make their decisions, we can only reciprocate their action by refusing their applicants and making their requirements equally difficult. Takashi will not work, if you give them any little reason you are done. Demonstration is a bad idea. In this gemtleman's case he will be seen as 'desparate' but you and I know it is not the case.
