So sad 😢 when I was converted I was immediately taken by a friend to a church that preached the prosperity gospel. At the time I didn't really know any better. The more I studied, the more God opened my eyes to the truth. I left that church and found a local church, and for the first year in this new church Paul Washer and his family attended. My best friend was converted and baptized at our church and Paul Washer preached that day, and after hearing a sermon from him, this seeker friendly stuff just makes me cringe. Kdub thanks for the great content and shedding light on false teachers and false teaching. I pray that those who are a part of these types of churches would come to truly know Christ and find a new docurtinally sound church. Grace and peace, back at ya.

South Africa also has lots of seeker friendly churches. I have been caught up in a few of them. Thankfully i wasnt there for long.

I believe what we are seeing is the Bible coming to fruition. I used to not understand why it would be hard for the saints to get in but now I see. People are being drawn away by the wiles of the devil and the wolves in sheep’s clothing. Praying for all the lost souls IN CHURCH who destination is hell if they don’t repent and find the TRUE living God.‼️

Would love to see you review some sermons from other preachers outside of whom you normally do also! Just to name a few that I’d suggest that I think will provide diversity of thought and great dialogue in the scriptures: - Pastor Phillip Mitchell - Pastor Judah Smith - Beth Moore

dropping this in the comments: Renovation Church Atlanta, GA ...The pastor said "Hell is about justice, not torture" and taught Terminal Punishment "one day God will relent" meaning people in hell will be annihilated. Also did a tithe challenge with a money-back guarantee and at the movies series...its really sad!!

That’s crazy because a church I used to attend did that “At the movies” sermon series. I didn’t hear it because it was shortly after I stopped attending but I saw them promoting the series online. It affirmed my decision to step down and leave for sure.

They want carnal souls because they're easier to decieve and control. Establishing a body of genuine believers who are thirsty for knowledge and serve God alone would be a threat to their ministry. Many of these leaders aren't ready to level up to that degree.

And then all the true believers are over here starving to death, contemplating possibly having to move or plant a new church with a handful of other faithful saints. Cuz even though u can throw a rock and hit a church all around may be 50 miles from a biblical church

Great vid! Robert Shuler heavily influenced Rick Warren…Warren has credited Shulers influence several times. These growth strategies don’t mix with Bible scripture. Grace & ✌️ brother.

I am glad you mentioned Pilgrims Progress. It is a favorite of our family. It is free to watch here on RU-vid. We watch the cartoon version. One of my favorite scenes is when Christian is climbing the hill and his burden finally comes tumbling down and rolls into the empty tomb. Glory to God!

I do not blame you for Running! I would as well! Movies have no place in the Sanctuary. In the Home yes, if the Individual Sheep permits them under Romans 14 (I do, but I am not very fond of them, I permit movies again (I did consider them unlawful at one stage, but that was just Legalism of which I have Repented) but I do not like them much at all) and maybe, just maybe, in the Hall if it is something like the Ten Commandments or the Original Version of Ben Hur (which made especially sure never to show the face of the Actor playing the films Representation of the Messiah as the Director did not want to Violate the Second Commandment!) but never in the Sanctuary! the church is for Expository Preaching of the Word and the Subservient Documents, the teaching of the One, True, Reformed, Protestant, Christian Religion, Gathering, Discipleship, Accountability, Praise Giving, and Biblical, Regulative, Worship of God in Spirit and Truth! Nothing Else! You were right to Flee! Love and Peace.

The seeker sensitive church movement is just a fulfillment of 2 Timothy 4: 3-4 where the false believers in church will not tolerate sound doctrine but accumulate teachers for themselves according to their desires. God Bless and continue to mark those who need to be marked and avoided.

The seeker sensitive churches started ARC (Association of Related Churches). Craig Groeshel supposedly the largest church in America among others started it. I’ve found their teachings geared toward the biblically immature and ignorant with no real theological meat on the bones. Lots of storytelling. Be blessed🙏

I had a conversation with a friend in a seeker sensitive church. One of their arguments in defense of this method is that they're trying to draw people in and once they're in they get bible teaching in their church small groups. But I think how many of those people actually join small groups? Of the 150- 300 people that they claim "accepted Jesus" at their alter calls how many people do they actually disciple and how many actually join a small group? Probably not that many honestly. So sad

Amiee McPherson is an interesting character to read about when it comes to seeker friendly movements. From what I have heard, she was the first to create a megachurch tailoring her messages so she didn't adhere to any specific denomination or doctrine and she used entertainment to get people in the door. She was an extremely successful false teacher.

The true saints, even if they started as a seeker, will no longer be satisfied with churches that dont feed them and those around them. So these churches are very "transit." The seeker will leave because they need something new and the true saint will leave because they're not being fed.

If you want to see someone confront Robert Schuller you have to go to the White Horse Inn (reformed brothers) that actually had him in studio. He walked out on the interview because he couldn’t stand their saying we are wretched sinners and not basically good. He kept saying they were hurting people’s self esteem. Fire!! Also: Church of Tares…a must watch video!

The Bible tells us not to offend our brethren, does it not? I’ve noticed a huge uptick in people who thoroughly enjoy criticizing “the church “, or “religious people” or “religion” etc but at the same time they preach we should NEVER ever offend an unbeliever, even if that means not telling them the truth! So many are being deceived by these people. I bet we all know one or more buying into these lies

Not saying you are wrong. I am hitting a road block with not seeking. Romans 3 says none seek but Matthew 7 says to seek but if we don’t why’d Jesus say to. both words used are extremely similar.EKZETEO VS ZETEO. If one could help that’d be great.

These are not contradictory commands. We of our own do not seek God. God must grant us eyes to see BEFORE do that we can have a new heart to desire to seek Him.
