The biggest thing that I think helps with the transitions in this video is that I did my best to sync up edits between clips to the beat of the song. I think this makes the compilation work smoother by kind of tricking your brain into melding what your eye sees with what your ear hears at the same time so it appears natural and smoother, but I'm not an expert and could be totally wrong about that. It took a lot of time to do this and it was my first time editing something like this so it was a challenge. Most of the time was spent on capturing the right clip and making sure the edit from one clip to the next happened on a specific beat. This was done at a frame by frame level of editing and doing it on a frame by frame level took a lot of time. Most of the time came from doing an edit, then watching the playback to see how the edit looked and how closely it aligned with the beat, then repeating until I was happy with the transition. A quick tip was for some of the clips I either sped up or slowed down the actual speed of the clip to accomplish the right timing for the editing to make sure I was able to use the full clip if I really wanted the full clip to fit a specific timing and match a beat. The amount of speed up or slow down was very minimal so that it doesn't look unnatural, almost like I didn't do it at all. Hope this helps. Good luck in your edits.
