Oh god, I love the scene in which Gordon figures out Batmans identity to death. It's basically Bruce telling Gordon, that while Batman might have been a hero to James Gordon, James Gordon most definitely was a hero to Bruce Wayne.

Surprisingly enough on iMDB The Dark Knight Rises is a whole 0.2 points up on Batman Begins (8.4 to 8.2). That’s quite a significant amount considering hundreds of thousands of people have left ratings on both movies. So you would probably be right in saying TDKR actually is better received than Batman Begins, it’s just that it has more vocal detractors. Obviously neither reach the heights of TDK, and iMDB’s voters seem to agree (2.2 million votes leave TDK at 9.0, the 4th highest of all time).

The cool thing about it is that his hand is just laying on his shoulder with palm facing up. Not grabbing, not applying any force. He just lays his hand on him in the less threatening way possible, and THEN he asks him calmly! Excellent intimidation scene without any intimidation cliches.

Your Joker attire is adorable, love it. Additionally, being Batman would take an immense physical toll on the body. There was a physiologist who wrote a book called “Becoming Batman”, and his conclusion was a person could only sustain that sort of training, physical punishment, and sleepless nights for about 2 years before the muscles, joints, and connective tissue would totally break down.

Do you remember in Batman begins Ras Al Ghul says to Bruce (in the Chinese prison) "If you are bored of brawling with petty thieves and want to achieve something there is a rare blue flower that grows on the eastern slopes. Pick one of these flowers if you can carry it to the top of the mountain...you may find what you were looking for in the first place" Then at the end of the film Selina Kyle is wearing a blue coloured dress the same blue as the flower. In other words Bruce found what he was truly looking for... there is a more in depth explanation about this on RU-vid somewhere basically Nolan is a master storyteller!

@SEjo Nossime it helps nolan had comics and series and other films to base his story off of ...star wars was made up on the spot brand new so things changed like vade being luke's dad was not originally apart of the story neither was luke and leia being siblings ..those were changes made later..with batman yes you can set it in real life make it a crime thriller drama but in the end its still the story we all know ..not fair to compare them like that...nolan didn't create batman or had the first live action films

The plane on top of a plane thing was done almost entirely with the actual plane, almost all of the external plane shots are practical effects. When the 4 hijackers come down from above, they're actually doing that at like 10,000 feet. On a real life plane.

Been exited for this. Dark knight rises is my least favourite of the Three, but that's more of a statement on how good the trilogy is because I adore this movie.

TDKR is my least favourite but it’s still a great film. BB was the perfect origin film, TDK is the best superhero film of all time and TDKR I view as more a blockbuster type of film but still has the emotion and heart of the first two films.

If you're interested in a younger interpretation of Gordon, I'd recommend watching the tv series "Gotham." The first season was a little unfocused, but by season 2 it really came into its own.

Dark Knight Rises is one of my favorite Batman films.. I saw it in theaters years ago and I was fuckin blown away! It's crazy that TDK trilogy gives me nostalgia vibes now..

The plane scene in the beginning was somewhat real. the vertical plane was actually dangling from a helicopter. they just comped in a plane and the wings tearing off was CG, but the plane hanging was real

I watched all three of your reaction videos to the trilogy and they're all great. This is my favorite of the trilogy as well. I've loved it ever since I saw it in theaters back in 2012. I love all three of these films. Christopher Nolan is an incredible filmmaker and the cast is fantastic as well.
