People that somehow manage to not make money in the pokemon market wouldnt make money anywhere, cause they are too flipfloppy. they gotta be selling at the least resistance or anything, if u cant buy a product / stock and just let it sit for years without having small panic attacks from time to time, then investing aint for u :) imo

Sitting on ten cases of swsh booster boxes, hitter sets only. ES, FS, CR, LO, BS, ST. Most cases I’ve had since release over the last few years. I have to say Pokemon is the least of my investments that causes me mental anguish. If anything I find it surprising and refreshing. As soon as they announced silver edged i knew it was a solid move especially considering the additional printing machines they utilized since CZ. Honestly im surprised that there is any push back from the community. It’s almost their way of venting frustration over missing out.

I like to take the home buying approach when investing into sealed PTCG. Great profits and minimizing risks are done on the buying side. As Alex said over and over, look at the potential downside risk. With booster boxes floor are on average of 80.00 USD. As prices approach this floor area, slowly scale in to dollar cost average.

@matthewbenton11 I'm just not the biggest fan of the vault services. I like having all on my items on hand and accessible today incase there is a trade, or a sale or something that comes up. Also, ebay vault is going away and psa vault is going to basically be more expensive than doing it yourself for most people becuase the majority of cards sold are not high value cards. Not hate on it. I am happy that it makes life easier for those that use it but I am just not a fan. Also, as far as comc, I am sponsored by Arizona TCG so if I were to recommend a consignment service it would be them.

Time in the hobby and snowballing can not be stressed enough. When i started, i spent 60 bucks on dollar general mini blisters. Hit a lugia gx secret, graded it and sold it for 650. Used that money to grade some of my lesser pulls and bought some singles, turned that into 1000, bought some evolving skies sealed stuff and stashed it, then graded some more. It really is crazy how you can turn somthing like 60 bucks into 10k or more in a few years just by being smart and in touch with the market. Now i rarely even have to put money from my pocket in. I just go sell somthing for a few hundred bucks that i have like 80 bucks into any time i want somthing.

Couple small changes to your strategy. I wouldn’t advise a new person to buy raw singles on line. Raw singles online is where the bottom dwellers feed. It attracts the worst in the hobby. So much dishonesty there. Misleading photos, using stock photos, shipping a different card then pictured, damaged cards. It’s the worst. Only in person! Facebook, LGS, card shows, trade nights. If you stick to your top cards in each set you should do fine. Collect what people want. Don’t get cute! I don’t think you have to get into grading right away. As we see all good cards rise as sets go out of stock. The problem with being a new person grading is if you get a bunch of 9’s, those are dead money for years. No one wants 9’s. We see raw cards being worth more than a 9 in the short term. Popular clean raw cards will always have value.

I've bought many raw singles online..have yet to get damaged, fake, fraudulent cards at all. All A+ transactions. It's not hard to find reputable, verified, and trustworthy sellers online whether it's TCGPLAYER, Ebay, or elsewhere.

THE COLLECTOR BROS want us To stop buying the god sets coz they're too stupid to acknowledge and realise it. ES was THE MOST obvious thing in 2021. But unfortunately, they were chasing dark Sylveon boxes and fusion strike Mew VMAX 😂😂😂. They had ample time to buy ES and everything else. Collector bros need to shut up. We investors are also collecting too.
